Mark series amps lead tone comparisons criticism: can we really?

Lol, "If you can't play nicely, you're never getting plugged in again"

Mark series amps lead tone comparisons criticism: can we really?

Hmm that's strange! Awesome that it became more consistent though. Maybe mine will do the same eventually lol

    Potential footswitch issue

Try changing channels back and forth a few times with the knob on the back of the amp. I didn't have that specific problem but I did have problems changing channels with the footswitch once. The channel would "change" on the footswitch but not on the amp. Changing channels with the knob a few...

Mark series amps lead tone comparisons criticism: can we really?

That's a really interesting point! The only Mark I've played through is my V 90w head. I had one fantastic tone that sounded good for everything, lead and rhythm. Moved a few sliders around and I haven't gotten back to my tone since. It's endlessly annoying, lol. And your point about tone...

    Effects loop volume

Ok cool, I'll take a look there! I bought it brand new so if it has a date, I would assume it has to be date of manufacture

That resulted in a much louder popping sound when switching channels. So now I use only line level effects...

    Do you feel it’s a waste…

I've always thought it's only a waste if someone buys lots of gear but rarely plays. That being said, if they can afford it and it makes them happy, to each their own

    Mark III questions

Oh ok, so the short heads just had them on the back? And one more question, were there any long heads that aren't Coliseum heads?

    Mark III questions

Oh, that makes sense. That simplifies it a lot. Which Mark III's have the power level selector on the front?

    Mark III questions

Hey guys, finally joined the forum after reading here for ages! I've been really interested in Mark III's lately, mostly because of John Sykes' sound on the self titled Whitesnake album and debut Blue Murder album. I have a few questions about them. First of all, what does KRG and KDRG mean? I...
