Mark iii - Help me turn my Blue stripe into a Red stripe PLEASE !!!

Hi folks, Like the title says, I am chasing as much info as I can get, to update a blue stripe into a red stripe. The reds have a much more gainy R2 channel. Also, the lead channel on the red stripes is less bright, smoother, and also slightly girthier. I do already know that C30, which is...

Vintage Mark-style PCB and chassis kit

This is not the way that Mesa do it anyway. Mesa use thin aluminium plate thats been powdercoated and then the white paarts are screenprinted on and then baked. Then that gets glued onto the front of the chasis.

Post your rig - part 3

Hey man, thanks for the reply! Very interesting ! I had the EVH 5150 50W 6L6 that I sold ... wanted to buy the Stealth and went to a store to play it ... and I did'nt like the blue channel at all ! I much preferred the blue channel on the regular 6L6 model. The stealth blue was cold, thin...

Mark III - Converting a Blue stripe to a Red stripe

Hello folks, I am wanting to convert a Blue stripe 60/100 to Red stripe specs. Does anyone have a complete list of capacitors & resistor values that will need to be changed, as well as their locations. Thanks in advance.

Vintage Mark-style PCB and chassis kit

Personally I like the short heads, but either way is ok. Having the presence at the front is way better actually. Simul-class is great, but the JP2C is 60/100 and that thumps !! I think the 4/8/16 ohm option is a must. And seriously, the 100/120/240 OT is the answer !!!! Opens up your...

Vintage Mark-style PCB and chassis kit

Yes the lead external switching jack on the rear sounds great, but what I'm saying, is, that the faceplate looks so much more pleasant and uncluttered with the footswitch jack eliminated! You've changed and tweaked the faceplate anyway, so deleting the fs jack won't do any harm. Just a...

Vintage Mark-style PCB and chassis kit

Would love to see the footswitch jack mounted on the rear instead of the front !!! That always bothered me about the old school Mark amps. It just looks messy having the footswitch input on the front, Also, an export version would be amazing !!! I would DEFINITELY buy one, and pay for a...
