My love affair with Mesa bass gear

I used to have a Fender BXR 300 amp. I then bought the best sounding bass amp I ever heard; the Mesa Boogie 400+. Boy what a sound that amp had. I purchased it with the Mesa Boogie four 10 cabinet. Sadly the cabinet was so heavy and wide, I could not fit it in the back seat of my 4 door car. I...

    History of Mesa Boogie video

I searched for a book on Mesa Boogie and its history with lots of great photos and comments from artists but sadly it seems a book has not yet been written. However this is the most insightful video out there on the company.

The Express 5 25 started out with a 10" speaker and they also offer a 10" speaker option with the Mark V 25 as well. What characteristics do people...

What Black Shadow speaker is in the Express 5 25?

I looked in the manual but I could not find which speaker comes with the amp with the 12" speaker.

A Mesa Boogie combo vs head and one twelve with 23" cabinet

In considering getting a Mark VII and wondered what your thoughts are on the combo vs the head and one 12" speaker with the wider 23" cabinet. I have found the Mark VII combo not to be that boxy, but is it worth another $325 or so for getting separates if your going to keep the amp in your home...
