When I first played the guitar

I had been taking piano lessons from age 6. My uncle brought me a classical guitar from South America in 1970. At age 14 in 1973 I broke my left arm above the elbow just below my shoulder. They did not want to do surgery because of my age so they put a really heavy cast on my arm from my...

    Rectifier tube failure

:( OK - it's happened twice in the last ten years. The rectifier tube in my Heartbreaker head fails and takes the slo-blo fuse out with it. Amp will not operate in silicon mode without a rectifier tube in the socket for some reason, and switching to the silicon mode with a bad rectifier tube...

    Homebrew Cab

Boredom set in. Too much time on my hands, too many spare parts lying around, here's what I came up with for my Heartbreaker head: Solid oak construction thiele design - the scorpion sounds *killer* with the Heartbreaker! I think I'll build another for a killer setup ty

One stupid question (I'm not really as dumb as I look...)

:?: I am so tired of looking at the red jewel on my Heartbreaker. Will a jewel of a different color that is marketed for (*gasp*) a Fender amp work? I was thinking of blue. (OK, you didn't need to know that...) ty

    Peavey Scorpion 12836?

:?: Hi - I have inherited a couple of Peavey Scorpion 12 inch speakers. They look rough, the cones in the baskets look really dirty and worn, the dust caps are collapsed on both. I think that they need new baskets. The problem is, instead of the usual designation of 12825, they are marked...
