I was concerned that my 20/20 fan wasnt good enough , so I installed another fan just behind the tubes in my 20/20 to push the heat out of the back of my rack. now that is some loud fan noise :lol: it is fine for live use, but in the studio I only use the 20/20 fan.

I have a les paul studio with duncans in it (tone pots connected), it does the same, you can always hear the pickup a little bit, even when it is turned down all the way. I think that is just how they are meant to be.

Man, if it is only a year old your tubes should be fine. what preamp are you using, and what cab ?

same , front to back I was always concerned there was not enough airflow tho so I installed a small fan and mounted it just behind the 20/20 in my rack , the heat gets blown out of the rack way better now.
