Appreciate that. Very happy to have it back. I love this amp.

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

Thanks. I'm very happy to have it back. I hear ya on it getting damaged. I didn't have much confidence packing it up with store bought boxes and supplies. Mesa shipped it back in a box with snug, formed foam. Totally secure. 6505 is sick. Peavey is next in my list.

    Broken Roadster Fixed by Mesa

In case anyone is interested or has similar problems. Heard a pop, then channel switching wouldn't work. Channels 1 and 3 were both 3 and only the controls on channel 3 would work. Channels 2 and 4 were both 4. Only controls on 4 would work. Lots of other weird problems too. I can't...

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

I got my amp back from Mesa. Tested last night and everything works. All channels, all modes. I was kinda bummed because I didn't get any sound on all the channels, but turned out mute was turned on. Sounds great. It cost me about $200 to ship to them. It cost $155, which included shop...

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

I haven't followed up with them. I shipped in to them in August. I got a call from them shortly after that it was received and in line to get repaired. Richard Duvall at Mesa warned me that it was going to take a while due to parts shortages. I picked up a Mark V 90 shortly after sending...

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

My mistake. Channels 1 and 3 are both 3. Channels 2 and 4 are both 4. Both of the dirty channels work.

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

A pop, then channels 2 and 4 don't work. Channel 1 and 2 are both channel 1. Channel 3 and 4 are both channel 3. I live in Alaska. No authorized Mesa repair up here so it had to go back to Mesa. Not sure what is taking so long. Prolly parts. Not enough parts for new amps and repairs would...

Single Rectifier Series 1 vs Roadster 2x12 combo - A tale of two amps

Agreed. I've tried digital a few times but always sell them. Latest being a headrush. It just doesn't have the same vibe to me. It can sound good but it's just not the same. I have a roadster that's been with Mesa to get fixed going on a year. I can't wait to get that thing back.

Wow. Never thought about room placement and it's effects on sound. Good tip.

Same. I got those albums but my favorite is his Red Wolf album. It's the best one imo. I think his excitement that he is just now discovering the Mark when the Mark series has been out there for all these years is what I dig most about his Mark V amp review. It is genuine excitement.

You got that right. If you sound bad through a Mark V, that is 100% on you. His Red Wolf album is pretty great too. Groovy type of metal. I commented on that video yesterday asking him to make a video on how to make the Mark sound like a Plexi. He said he would make one. Maybe I can get...

    The Tone Monster

First post to the board. I watch Euge Valovirta's channel religiously on Youtube. Here is his review on the Mark V 90. He's 100% a Marshall guy but he literally discovered Mesa Mark amps a few weeks prior to this video with the Mark V 25. He does something really cool in the video. He...

    Missing modes in the 35.

Ive had the 35 combo for a few years. I love this amp. Has the C90 speaker. Ordered a 1x12 cab from local shop with the Vintage 30. Can't wait for that to get in. I have an opportunity to pick up a 90w Mark V for a good price. Never played the 90w. If anyone has played both, are the extra...

    New-ish owner. Mark V 35 Tube explanation.

That makes sense. That helps. Appreciate the advice. I'm gonna pick up a few tubes and see if I can get this fixed.

    New-ish owner. Mark V 35 Tube explanation.

Fellas. First post. I've been lurking this forum for a few years, drooling over owning a Mark V someday. I got a new Mark V 35 combo about 8 months ago from the local music shop and could not have been happier. Gotta love 12 months, no interest financing. I love just looking at this thing...
