Came back home to the Lonestar Classic. Feels good! New Amp!

Thanks! I'm loving it! The other night I let my other guitarist in my band play thru it the entire rehearsal. The next day he texted me saying after playing through my rig his personal amps at home were a let down! LOL

Came back home to the Lonestar Classic. Feels good! New Amp!

Very helpful! Thanks! Yeah I have fallen in love with the V30. I had a 2x12 vertical cab for a while loaded with 2 C90's and it was great but now that I one of each I can really hear and feel the difference. I love both together and I love just using the V30 by itself as well.

Came back home to the Lonestar Classic. Feels good! New Amp!

Had a Lonestar Classic a while back loved it but then got rid of it.....after touring with the Mark V and using other Boogie amps I decided it was time to come back home to where I need to be and that's with a Lonestar Classic. Check out my new rig I just got today. Lonestar Classic Short Head...

My magic Mark V settings for today!

Yeah these settings are OLD now! LOL........the presence isn't that high any longer and I have actually started using a frown shape on the graphic eq! It changes from room to room. Anyways I just got road cases for my rig. Ready to get it out there and crank it up!

My magic Mark V settings for today!

I use all three channels......my particular band needs a LOT of different sounds.

Big pop punk crunch. Not sure where to start.

Try some of these settings. Especially towards the end......7 minute mark or so but you can learn a lot from watching this because they show eq settings and talk about what power structure they're running etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGrx7c5NdMQ

My magic Mark V settings for today!

Thanks yeah I usually use a 2x12 vertical cab with C90's but I didn't feel like lugging it to rehearsal! lol

My magic Mark V settings for today!

Had rehearsals all week for an upcoming tour. Heading to Japan, New Zealand & Dubai. Anyways all week I tweaked my amp to the rehearsal room of course but anyways I finally locked into some tones that were really magic for me. I was playing my 2000 American Strat with n3 noiseless pickups. I...

    Ch 1 gain problem

The more gain the more noise you're gonna get. Kind of hard to tell if it's a natural amp sound or something gone wrong.

I ditched the EL34's! Back to the smoother & creamier 6L6's!

After spending about a year with the EL34's I switched back this week to the 6L6's and MAN was I happy I did! Made the whole amp just warmer, smoother and creamier all around! Makes me wonder why I ever tried the EL 34's in the first place! LOL If I ever get a Marshall again then that will be...

Anyone using the 212 vertical rectifier cab?

When I am at home my personal cab is a 2x12 vertical cab with C-90's and it sounds great. I also have a 1x12 open back cab that I occasionally use and it sounds phenomenal too. On tour right now I have been using two 4x12 cabs and that is just heaven! Getting quite spoiled actually...

    Video Idea: Mark V 6L6 vs EL34

If you do make sure you guys mic the cabs REAL WELL!!!

I've had the MKV for less than a year and preamp tubes going

If I remember correctly my rep at Mesa said they are now and have been for a while been using JJ's for all their preamp tubes. Chinese power tubes

    Head or Combo?

Such is the nature of forums! LOL

    Head or Combo?

If you plan on keeping your amp in one place all the time very rarely moving it then go with a combo. If you plan on gigging quite a bit GO WITH THE HEAD!!!! Besides you get more flexibility with a head. (Different cabs..etc) That being said the head is still heavy.

Can I run my Mark V directly into a computer with Slave?

If I remember correctly the manual says the Slave is NOT for recording at all! It is for running another amp. The signal is WAY to hot for recording.

Edge Mode Is Where It's At!!!!

Hot! I can't wait to try my Les Paul with!
