This pedal is like new!
Just a DOD 250 preamp pedal tweaked to Yngwie's specs and it's great for overdriving your amp.Keeps definition and articulation between notes.

I started another thread looking for a similar mod to the .50 caliber.
Frankly I'm surprised with all the Boogie freaks here nobody has come up with an answer....
I think they are very good amps and usually loud enough for most situations.
You can really get the power tubes working for a nice overdrive and the two independent channels are great.
The graphic/countour issue is simply a matter of taste and it largely depends on what sound you're going after...

However, I cannot find anything about the process involved.
I know enough about electronics/amps to do it my self 100% but I don't know enough to figure...
Yeah, I just figured I could get into the power section a little earlier in the volume range.I do like the was EL-4s sound better than 6L6s though.
I think a call to Mesa is in order.
Of course overdrive sounds are subjective but believe it or not the best overdrive pedal I've tried is the Guyatone OD2.
I think it sounds a little better than even the TS-9.
I recently heard some sound clips of 12 different OD pedals back to back and the two that stood out as "great" were the...
