Thanks for the info. I think that mod is on this board somewhere. I may have to get working on this one someday. I found some old 7189 bugle boy tubes that are sounding very nice in my 22+ at the moment and it will be awhile till I get the urge to work on it but thanks again for the link.

I have to agree with that. The subway rocket with a rear mounted 10" speaker sounds alot different-better run into a cab.

This seams like a nice mod for more control over the gain. Thanks for posting!! Any info on changing the bias for nos power tubes in this model? I have not found any info of nos power tubes use in a 22+.

I have subway rocket and a studio 22+ and have been swapping a few tubes around in them myself. If you want to get them from boogie just call them up and they will tell you what you need. If you want some other kind of tubes do a search on here and there is a few places that people talk highly...

Just want to say as far as mods I have put all nos tubes in my preamp and it really made my amp come alive!! It sounds soooo much better!! The tubes that were in there was all boogie china stuff only a year old or so and if I can help it they will never see the inside of that amp again!!

New to this board just want to say hey and I have a 22+ (and subway rocket). I think this amp is overlooked alot as it sounds great when its opened up abit (not bad at low volume) looking forward to hear boogies answer on the mod for this little beast!
