    Studio .22+ speaker replacement

I might have to pick one of them up and try it. I replaced my stock speaker with a eminence GB-12 and I do like it better for the sound I like (ac/dc type sound) than the stock one. I didn't know there was a speaker upgrade with the 22+. An old friend of mine moved back into town and has a...

    The 22+ did the trick!

Thank's for all the cool comments. I had a blast and will definitely do it again. I bought this amp new and other than tubes and dirty effects send/return jacks (I run a short cord in it) I've never had any trouble with it. It's nice that you can bring nothing more than a amp-guitar-cord and...

    The 22+ did the trick!

Just want to say that I mostly play for fun and never played in a real band but I can do a few things pretty good (ac/dc type stuff) and I got the nerve up and went to the local bar that has a jam night with the house band. I was soooo nervous and had to have a few beers to take the edge off...

    studio .22+ lead channel mod!

Thanks for the info. I think that mod is on this board somewhere. I may have to get working on this one someday. I found some old 7189 bugle boy tubes that are sounding very nice in my 22+ at the moment and it will be awhile till I get the urge to work on it but thanks again for the link.

Mesa NAMM 2009 vid clips post here!

Thanks for the link. Amp sounds good but clips will only tell so much. I think I want to hear the Marshall voiced one more than the Mark V !

spotted a Mark II or III combo in Coming to America movie

Sexual Chocolate did rock!! LOL... Good eye. I had spotted it myself a few years ago and would put it right up there as one of Boogies finest moments! RS likely has a photo of that on his wall!!!

Pulling PRE-AMP tubes in a Studio .22 - Bad Idea? Tone Good!

I can not help you with your question but would love to know the answer as well. I have been rolling some tubes in my 22+ and man it does sound better! This is what I have in it now V-1=161 code mullard V-2=short greyplate-square getter jhs sylvania I think a 1956? V-3=165 delta 74 holland...

    Express 5:25-Fizz at high volume

I have to agree with that. The subway rocket with a rear mounted 10" speaker sounds alot different-better run into a cab.

    Studio 22+ mod

This seams like a nice mod for more control over the gain. Thanks for posting!! Any info on changing the bias for nos power tubes in this model? I have not found any info of nos power tubes use in a 22+.

    Subway Rocket Tube Question

I have subway rocket and a studio 22+ and have been swapping a few tubes around in them myself. If you want to get them from boogie just call them up and they will tell you what you need. If you want some other kind of tubes do a search on here and there is a few places that people talk highly...

    Studio 22+ mod

Just want to say as far as mods I have put all nos tubes in my preamp and it really made my amp come alive!! It sounds soooo much better!! The tubes that were in there was all boogie china stuff only a year old or so and if I can help it they will never see the inside of that amp again!!
