    Slate Virtual Mic System

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-product-alert/899723-namm-2014-slate-digital-introduces-virtual-microphone-system.html Searched on here and haven't seen much Slate discussion except for his drum programs. Anyone here heard much about this? Pretty hotly debated over on gearslutz forum.

    Monitor Recommendations

Same here! I'm using some Beyerdynamic DT880s and Sennheisser earbuds but I know I need some decent monitors.

What audio interface do you use or recommend?

I started out my home studio setup Dec of 08 with a custom-made destop with Vista 64 and Focusrite's Saffire Pro 10 with Sonar 8PE. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS! Finally the firewire connection faulted and fried my motherboard. Computer was luckily under warranty and replaced the motherboard. Then the...

Bedrock 651 1/12 due to arrive soon!

Nice score man. Our new bass player brought some of his personal gear to some of our band practices and he happened to have a Bedrock (not sure what model) 1x12" combo that he just raved about. I'd never heard of them before and wasn't surprised as he said they were pretty rare now. He had...

Only modern setting works on dual recto

I had a muting circuit issue recently due to a surge (long story). This caused volume fluctuations over all my channels and it didn't matter which mode or 'voice' I used. The volume would drop out and become very faint and then return to normal volume. This progressively became worse over time...

    Power conditioners

I would suggest a voltage regulator if you are going to play anywhere with suspect electricity. A conditioner doesn't cut it when it comes to providing protection. A conditioner will mostly clean up any noise generated from the power source, but if you want 'brown out' and overvoltage...

    Subway Blues... killer little amp

Have you tried it through a 12" or a 2x12" cab? I used a subway rocket this summer while my Roadster was being repaired and I was thoroughly surprised by the tone coming out of the little beast. Like you, I was totally blown away by how light the combo was. After all, it's still a Mesa...

Friend thinks Digitech Death Metal is better than Dual Rec

How old is this friend? Has he tried Krank amps? Sounds like that type of amp would suit him better. Excuse me while I go wash my hands for typing 'Krank'.

Wrong placement in power section and KT88/KT66 issues...

I have been trying to find out the power tube layout for the Roadster. Would this pattern of yxxy hold true for it? Also, anyone know which ones work in 50w mode? Sorry for the hijack.

    Roadster power tube question

Hey guys, I have been searching for this answer and either I have grossly overlooked the obvious answer or I haven't been using the right keywords when searching. Which power tubes work in pairs on the Roadster? I have a couple that I need to swap out to diagnose a problem I am having and I...

    Ready to Rack 'n Roll!

Yeah that could definitely work. One good benefit of the front and back covers, albeit a small one, is it keeps your gear cleaner if you put them on when you're finished (all depends on how often you practice/jam/gig whether or not you'll take the time to do that...it's all cost/benefit). Dust...

    Ready to Rack 'n Roll!

That rack case looks just like what I have my bass head in. It's tough enough for me, and should have no problems holding up your amp head.

Pedals "overdriving" my Roadster's fx loop

Very interesting...I never even thought about the channel masters having that effect on my pedals but it makes sense now. I've been having the same issue with my Analogman Chorus pedal - but no problem with using my delay. I've pretty much just stopped using my chorus pedal altogether because...

Where do you guys get your drum sounds?

i'm a fan of BFD2...it's expensive, but it works great. doubt it would be cost efficient for what you want.

    Post your pedalboard!

It really hasn't changed much since New Years (the last time I updated it) but it still functions without any issues. A blessing in itself. Oh, and I had to remove the lighting underneath the plexiglass...was overheating too much. Still haven't found a suitable replacement. Only thing that...

What were the amps you've owned leading to what you have now

i wouldn't call a couple of them 'amps' but for a while i just used modelers into a PA...so here goes 1) Some kind of Zoom multi-fx board...old school. had double expression pedals built in. all plastic crap though...hated it...somehow it was lost/stolen 2) Marshall MG30fx. Still have this...

    Roadster and clean channel

sure thing, whenever i get back to my amp i'll grab them for ya. keep in mind though, that the coil-tap is a big part of the versatility for how i have it set up. essentially all four of my channels are set for overdrive...the coil tap allows me to get an actual clean sound...i have channel 2...
