I had a problem with the amp over the last couple of nights. 1st all new tubes Mesa in preamp and JJs in power along with rect. The other night while in the 50W tweed mode and tube rect I was playing at low volume and the amp just stopped producing sound. No smoke, blown fuses or what not. I...

I think there is a screw toward that middle of the chasis (assumed for grounding but cant remember). I think there are some posts and pictures around here somewhere.

I am using a SPax7 in my V1 for my LSC. Much quieter and I noticed that it appears to have shrink wrap tubing around it. I assume this is to cut down on the vibrations. My question is - can folks put shrink wrap on all of the 12ax7 tubes hurting them (maybe they would get too hot)? Does Mesa...

The guy said that even in the 50W mode all 4 tubes are still driving so if you wanted to get lower volume and over drive simply remove 2 of the tubes (inner or outer) and then hook up to the 4ohm output. I think I will send Mesa a note. Thanks

I just got off the phone with a guy from EuroTubes. He said that I could remove 2 of my 6L6 tubes (inner 2 or outer 2) hook up the speaker to the 4 ohm output and that I would get a good overdrive sound. Is this OK? Right now I am playing through the tweed setting and with the 4 ohm speaker...

I was having a noise issue (crackle and wind type noise) and the board recommended swapping the pre-amp tubes which worked.
