I'm really upset at the moment and need your help. Never thought I would ever have to deal with something like this. But Sunday (07/18/2010) a climate controlled facility was broken into (21 units total) and I had some very expensive and sentimental gear stolen. I'm passing this along to...

Running a head without a speaker load

SPEAKERS OR SOME TYPE OF "PROFESSIONAL" LOAD DEVICE!!!!! Or as suggested use just some type of pre-amp to record direct with. A resistor at the end of an instrument cable is waaaaaaay toooooooo risky. :? Another option: Keep the amp on STANDBY and use the loop send/out to go to...

Cabling Tremoverb head to Marshall 1960 Lead cab

I'm a Dumd ***. Set the cab to mono, connect the 16 ohm (or 4 ohm) cab jack to the 16 ohm (or 4 ohm) connector on back of the Tremoverb.

Cabling Tremoverb head to Marshall 1960 Lead cab

Set cab switch to stereo. Connect left amp out to left cab in. Connect right amp out to right cab in. You are set to go.

Dual Recto sounds better from the side?

One thing nobody ever considers, especially when buying a cab, is how the grille cloth effects the tone. If you go with a heavier material (i.e. basket weave, cane, dense cloth, etc) you will eliminate a lot of what you are talking about. The heavier grill cloth will dampen the high end just as...
