    Express 5:50 channel pop in 5w mode???

    I've found that if you wait a few seconds after switching it to Standby before turning it off, it won't pop when turning it off - I guess it discharges the power cupply capacitors slower by going to Standby for a brief period rather than jsut witching it off. I've never expereinced any popping...

    I have a Mesa 5:50 2x12 combo and an 8ohm (purple) Hotplate. The Express amps do have seperate gain and master volumes. In 5 watt mode, you should be able to easily find good tone at in home volumes. I use the 5 watt mode most of the time and don't really need to Hotplate, but it's nice to...

    Summer breeze on Express 5:50...

    I've got a 5:50 2x12 combo and it isn't noisy at all. I have to crank the gain to at least 3 o'clock and the master volume at least past Noon to get any kind of background hiss or noise, and even then it's just 60hz hum.

    I bought a new Mesa Express 5:50 2x12 about 2 weeks ago. I've just been playing around with it, trying the different modes and settings. I haven't found "my tone" yet, but it does have alot of variety. I recently added a THD Hotplate allowing me to turn it up a bit more to get the gainier...
