Road King II and Roadster prices.

What are the current prices of a Road King II and a Roadster? I can't find a current Mesa pricelist.

    It Fit!

Looks great. Only thing I would change is that I prefer the smaller "Boogie" logo over the bigger "Mesa/Boogie" logo.

disillusioned by mark iv and Mesa in general

Laying aside the fact that I think you're trolling. Mark IV's eat a Rivera alive...I'm sorry. In every possible way. I know, because I've played one alongside another guitar player who's Rivera was made pointless by the Mark IV. He knew it and asked me to tweak it. No point. In addition...

    Mark IV help!

I know this thread is a bit oldish, and I haven't read all the replies, but the overwhelming thing I noticed is that a Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup is being used in the bridge...and that right there raises some red flags. The SD is a great pickup if you want that specific tone...but it is...

Did anyone else just buy a Mark IV on a whim?

Not a whim, because I had researched and decided on a Road King II for quite a while. Walked into the Hollywood Mesa Store, and played through the Road King II for about 3 hours. Tweaked like crazy tried all sorts of configurations. Wasn't happy with the clean sound and was even less happy...

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

I've very close now. I made the mistake of posting this same message on The Gear Page and now scores of people are telling me that I should sell the Mark IV and get "name-your-boutique-4,000-dollar-amp-of-the-week-here". One guy actually said that any amp that you can't dial in your exact and...

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

UPDATE: I spent 4 hours last night tweaking the lead channel and I'm very very close to having my sound totally dialed in. There is a bit of a transparency going on for notes above high E 12th fret that I'm still trying to tweak, but all in all the violin tone is now there and I have a lead tone...

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

Because the Legacy doesn't have the warm, buttery jazzy clean tone...and I spend a helluva lot more time playing rhythm than lead. I'm getting there...made great headway tonight. I've got it mostly dialed in but something is still missing when I'm playing up high.

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

After reading some suggestions in here and on the Gear Page board I'm finally making some headway. Basically I've pushed in the pots on the lead channel and switched the voicing to "mid". I lowered the bass to 2.5 and made up for it in the GEQ (I'll try to take some pics later). Unfortunately...

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

To summarize the last few questions: The amp is a brand new Widebody combo. Have no reason to believe that the tubes are a problem...they are quiet and sound great on the other channels. As far as desired tone goes I'm used to using two different settings on my old rig, but they are modified...

After a week my Mesa Mark IV is scaring me

Well...I've had my Mark IV for a week, and I was warned on the Boogie Board that at first I'd want to sell it...and I do. Great clean, great rhythm, but no matter what settings I use that lead sound sounds like flabby Carlos Santana city...and that's not the tone I'm going for. I had really...
