Anyone tried a GZ34/5AR4 recto tube in a Lonestar Classic? To me the SS recto is too tight but the stock recto tube has too much sag, so I'd like to get somewhere in between. I know from my old Super Reverb that I like the 5AR4 better, so I'm thinking that's the way to go with the Lonestar too...

Just curious, Mesa says the Stiletto is very impedence friendly, so it wouldn't hurt the amp. I tried the 8 ohm speaker in my Ace combo into the 4 ohm jack and it seems to smooth out the sound a little. Anyone else out there playing around with this, and if so what did you find?
