Lets just "say" I was to sell it, how much would a 1 week old brand new mint condition one go for?

why am I the only one who can't get a good lead sound out of this amp? I've tried most of the grailtone settings and none are good for me.

Its a Mark IV. I ordered from a guitar center that had one. Do you think it is possible to return?

Say I didn't like a brand new mesa amp I just bought a couple days ago... do they have any return policy and whatnot? Thanks to anybody who knows.

I don't know what brand of Mesa or what size cabinet to go with a Mark IV. They have suggested either the Rectifier or Stiletto cab, and 2x12 or 4x12. Please inform me if there is a major sound difference (excluding volume of course). And keep in mind that my price range is about $500.

ACTUALLY somebody said he used a mark iv on scenes from a memory. If he recorded the Spirit Carries On solo with it, I'm definitely set on this amp.

Can I give a specific example to you guys to show you exactly what I want. Can the Mark IV get the exact sound of the little run Petrucci does at about 23:02 in Octavarium. Thats what I am concered as far as lead tone goes. Most clips I see have no bottom end in it.

The thing that REALLY sucks is that the Guitar Center by me only carries Dual Rectifiers... no Mark IV. Its pretty much impossible for me to try it out. Any ideas? Would Sam Ash lol have one? I have no idea what to do.

Can the Mark IV achieve very thick solos like at the end of octavarium, or is it always really clean and distinct?

Ouch 6 months? I think I might buy one thats 1 year old or so old. What would you guys suggest would be my limit for a mint Mark IV thats medium sized. (So what price should I stop at)

I understand the fact that I could save around $700, which is awesome, but I live in a crowded household and the warranty is really what I need.

Wouldn't you rather spend an extra $200 for a brand new amp and a good warranty? Just doesn't make sense to use ebay unless you are saving a TON of money like me (bought EBMM John Petrucci for 1,100 when it goes for about 1,800...)

I just want something that can have that incredible gain, and a really nice tight distorition. Clean sounds would be very nice, but I hate those "dirty" tones.
