Yep. I'm using a G-System with a Mark IV and they work beautifully together. I'm using the 4 cable method with a hum eliminator. There's a slight pop when switching from dirty to clean, but it's not a prob. If you have any specific questions let me know. All in all, it's a killer combination. Itsik

I ended up connecting a volume pedal to the effects loop (the send is at the bottom of the chassis...)along with an EH reverb pedal and it works like a charm. If you're missing an EQ on yours (like I do) and want one, my guess is that connecting an EQ pedal the same way would work well.

Has any one been able to get any info on Walter Trout's settings of the MK-IV ? I've tried to find something on the internet but no luck. BTW, if you check my MK-II Blues tone thread, this sound is vary similer to Walter Trout's sound to my ears. Itsik

Yep. 79 here too. Only lacking the REV. and GEQ which I'd LOVE to have :( ... but still, imho, a very verstile and articulat amp.

I've tried several volume pedals and clean boosters in front of my MK-II to get a simple volume boost for soloing, no change in gain or anything. No matter what I plug in there, on the dirty channel, all I get is more gain. How can I just boost the volume without effecting anything else. Thnx...

It's a small body combo with an EVM12L BTW, I still haven't given up on a couple of head shells and thiele shells we were talking about quiet some time ago GTS. I just need to figure out how to get them to Israel without paying the cost of a combo for the shipping ... :roll: Itsik

Due to the recent interest around the MK-II I though it some one might find it usefull so here's what I use for Blues gigs. It's pretty much SRV land so you'll probably need a strat to get the best out of it. My amp is a 76 MK-II no REV, GEQ, or any mods. Vol1 - 7 Pulled Treble - 7 Pulled Bass...

I'd love to see the "secret" mod Mesa do to Mk-IIA amps that makes the effect loop useble and the Dirty channel more verstile. I'd also love to see a GEQ and/or REV added to amps that don't have it . Unfortunately, living on the other end of the globe makes sending an amp to mesa cost about as...
