Sold / Withdrawn Mark III combo cabinet - unloaded

I have a an unloaded combo cab original to my III blue stripe that now lives in a head. Located in northern VA. I’d do $250 if you picked it up - you’d probably need to order some of the screws from Mesa but I’ll give you what I have.

Optimizing my '85 Black Stripe w. 105 PT

Not to hijack, but I'm in a similar position as OP. My Blue Stripe is currently at a very competent tech who I have no doubt could do the full III+ mod if I can get him the information. Does a comprehensive parts list exist? All I can find is adding the 2000pf C30.

Mark III goes to tech next week, setting up for success

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. This was extremely helpful!

Mark III goes to tech next week, setting up for success

My beloved Mark III Simul blue stripe is going to a reputable local tech (Eric at Viking Amps) for its big service. I know people love sending them to Mike B, but I'm not interested in shipping and all that right now. What can I do to try to set myself (and the tech) up for success here...

WTB Mark III short head cabinet or rackmount kit

I have a Mark III Blue Stripe combo that I have been wanting to convert to either a head or place in a rack to help with transportability. Anyone have either a head shell or rackmount kit floating around, or know where to find one? Ebay and Reverb have not delivered.

    Distortion pedal + Mark III

I giggled when I saw this post because I just spent a few hours the other night shoving a few dirt boxes through my blue stripe, and was totally shocked at HOW AWESOME my germanium fuzzface clone sounded through R1 and R2. Prior to this, I would have placed money on it sounding like a swarm of...

Need a Mark III head shell

I've got a mkIII simul class combo that needs to be moved to a head. Anyone have a guy, or know a good source. I just wanna be able to drop the thing in and be done. Is GTS still making head shells?

Mesa Boogie Mark III combo- blue stripe, fully loaded.

Hate to let this one go, but I'm financing a career change in a tough economy. This is a fantastic sounding blue stripe model, fully loaded with simul class, EQ, verb, as well as already having the R2 and reverb mods performed. Its a bedroom amp that shows very little wear, and has been a real...

MIJ Squier Strat (Waynes World model!!)**PRICE DROP

I think a lot of us had these pass through our hands back in the mid 90s, many of us as our first guitar. The Japanese manufactured guitars were not taken seriously back then at all, even though they were largely manufactured of the same materials, in the same factory (Fujigen) and by the same...

MIJ Squier Strat (Waynes World model!!)**PRICE DROP

This guitar was manufactured in the Fijigen factory in Japan, and is a fantastic player. These models are rare, and becoming very expensive due to their build quality and amazing necks. Guitar body has a couple minor nicks and scratches, but nothing major, and certainly nothing that effects...

    Granger SuperPlexi M100 handwired plexi

This one is a custom order that uses the superlead circuit for the bright channel, and the Plexi Superbass circuit on the normal channel. This also was ordered with the PPIV master volume installed, which is out of the circuit when maxed (again, to preserve the authentic vintage plexi tone)...

    WTB: Mark series headshell.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't look like they do one for that model. Very cool stuff though. I thought there was a member here who build headshells...

    WTB: Mark series headshell.

Anyone have eyes on a mesa headshell that will fit a mark III chassis from a simul class combo?

How much work to remount my MKIII combo in a head cab?

Thanks so much guys. Does anyone have a recommended source for reasonably priced head cabs beyond eBay? What's a reasonable price for your typical non bubinga cab?

Funny story: fell back in love with my Mark III blue stripe

Thanks! I'm most surprised how subtle tweaks can completely change the tonal palette of the amp. I was playing smokey blues with my strat on the lead channel, and all I had to do to get there was to roll the volume 1 and treble back a bit, and pull the bass, it was liquid blues heaven. Then I...

How much work to remount my MKIII combo in a head cab?

I absolutely love my blue stripe, but I have started to wonder if I would prefer to have the ability to transport it as a head and then my choice of cab (depending on the gig). Is it a huge deal to rehouse the thing in a head cab?

Funny story: fell back in love with my Mark III blue stripe

After a year of sitting in my closet, I recently decided to sell my loaded blue stripe simul class combo in the hopes that I'd raise enough funds to get a princeton or deluxe reverb. The past few years had me living in some noise restricted situations, and I could never use the Mesa in any...

Line 6 M13 users, how's the tone suck in 4cm with mark III?

I'm looking at grabbing one. As long as decent cables are used, how bad is the tone suck when using the 4 cable method?

Can I put a different reverb tank in my Mark III?

I've got a very nice Fully loaded MKIII blue stripe combo that I love, and would like to see if there is anything I can do to get a more "drippy" fender style reverb. The amp already has the reverb mod (from the factory), but it just doesn't suit my tastes. I am aware that there are...
