    2C in Triode

The Manual says that all 2C's were hard wired in Triode. I assume this meant all Simul-Class versions? I also assume that only 1 pair of power tubes were in Triode? Anyhoo, I really like how you can nail harmonics at will in Triode. The sound is pure midrange. However, in Triode, you can't get...

    2C Mode Coupling Cap Mod.

The manual states that 70% of 2C's had the Graphic, yet they still put in the smaller Coupling Cap from the non graphic to represent .. FAIL... Every 2C+ ***** complains about the feel and tone of the original, all because of a simple Cap.. Who has a schematic?

    Simul-Class biasing.

What's the percentage of bias on the Class A spots on a Simul-Class rig? If for example the Class AB tubes are at 60%, what percent dissipation are the A spots? OR, what percentage separates the 2 classes? Has anyone done a bias mod on this amp?

I recorded all 3-channels in this clip.

I always liked this song, so I did a short backing for it. I had video running, but a cheap webcam combined with low light made it look like I was playing in slow motion, so no video.. But, I did track it live. You can hear me switch channels with the footswitch. I used all 3 channels of the...

Here's some Mark V lead tone.

Popped in some EL34's in the Class A's. How does it sound?

THis forum officially sucks. Someone spams the whole board, and nobody does a thing about it.

Anyone wire their 2:90 for Triode?

I was comparing the 2C+ power section schematic to the Mark IV's. The only real difference is that the IV has Tridode/Pentode on a switch, where the 2C+ is wired for Triode only. This is for the Class A section only on both amps that have Simul-Class. The Class AB tubes are always AB. I wonder...

    TransAtlantic Top Boost clip.

I had the gain at about 3:00. It wasn't loud at all, otherwise I bet I'd get the power tubes into the sound. I'm diggin' the Top Boost channel. It makes the HI1 channel sound like flubby mush. I do like the Tweed on that channel, so that is good. The speaker was a Mesa MC90 in a vertical...

    Tube swaps in the TransAtlantic.

My amp shipped with Sovtek EL84's, and JJ ECC83S's. I put some JJ EL84's in there, and dug up some of my old JJ ECC803S's. The 803's added some nice top end sizzle to the sound.

More TransAtlantic tones with my band.

I recorded my band with the TransAtlantic.

Shitty drums sound shitty. These are my Bass players cheap drums that are out of tune, and the kick drum was rockin' the open head on the outside, so there's not a lot of definition to it. But still it doesn't sound to bad. The Bass player was rockin a fretless, an I was playing my out of tune...
