Favorite Mark IIc+ for sweet, singing, saturated (single-note) lead tone?

In my experience, my Simul is smoother than my Coliseum (non-simul). Both have very powerful transformers, stronger than the 100pt. The non-simul has more attack and clarity as you mentioned...less sag. It's also creamy, and would most likely get the creaminess of the Simul with the addition of...

Looking for a rectifier rev c for sale

Crazy for me to think about 15 years ago I purchased one for around $800 on eBay, before anyone knew what they were. What are prices like now?

Sorry to hear that news. Hope it finds a good home. That's a great piece and price.

    Converted IIC+ with Export Transformer

That's a great breakdown on the previous post. Very well done. The export transformer is generally more desirable because it is rarely seen in the US market and is supposed to offer a smooth yet hot lead tone, kind of like the middle ground between the 100 and 105 power transformer. For me...

    Mark IIc+ Leper Messiah

I thought it was fantastic! Love the Leper tone. Very thick and gruntlike

Mesa Triaxis - Metallica "Load" Era Tones

I think you nailed it! I agree with you that those are some of the best tones out there. Very raw yet smooth. What cab and guitar/pickups did you use? Do you think you can get that tone out of a regular Mark amp? Did you doubt track?

    Just bought a 2C+

I've used different Mesa 6l6's in there over the years with no issues.

Thinking of sending my 2 channel Recto to mesa... Thoughts

Probably cheaper to just buy one, no? They come up somewhat often. Or get an F with an OD pedal.

Best Guitar & Pickup combo for a IIc+?

What guitar and pickup combination do you feel is best suited to make a C+ truly shine? I use a PRScu24 with original HFS pickup and it absolutely slays with the Rectifier RevD. It sounds amazing with the C+, but I'm often left tweaking too much and looking for something more. I tried a JP...

George Lynch's Mesa Dual Rectifier, Rev C

You should consider calling the Mesa factory and telling them the story. I know they've posted on this forum before. See if Mike can take a look at the chassis (perhaps even for free, considering the history etc) and determine if any modifications were done to the amp vs a regular Rev C. We all...

George Lynch's Mesa Dual Rectifier, Rev C

I saw that post the other day on youtube and didn't realize it was you! This was an amazing find. Did you snag it off ebay? The tone in the video is very, very good. Seems like the room fit the recording perfectly.

Mark I "creamy" Santana tones from a Mark IV

There's a member on here that does a very good job at getting Santana tone out of his Mark 2C+. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing his settings I copied down a while back... o All Pre Volumes on 7, treble exactly on 6 and 1/4 (you can find on my Boogie almost a notch where the treble kicks up...

    Yes or No - Simul-class?

Very difficult to know. As a long head owner myself, it's impossible unless you see guts or the code on the output transformer.
