I suggest you read my recent thread on C90 buzz (edge yowl). I'm sure the EV wouldn't suffer from this but check the C90 out very carefully!

Yeah I thought it might be cone cry... I guess I'll have to buy an EV or something.. kinda wierd that the C90 cant handle my mark III on 4. BTW no tears or anything new speakers are mint condition.

I have a new matched pair of Electro-Harmonix EL84 tubes marked Ip 23 & Gm 7,900. Anyone know if these are suitable with the Mesa fixed bias & what the numbers refer to? What sort of characteristics would they have i.e. early or late break-up?
