Well if it sounds fine at home and bad at the gig, what are you turning up to get more volume? If you're just turning up the power amp, then it's the power amp's fault. Maybe the GT8's hitting the triaxis input too hard?

Also, reverb tanks are pretty cheap. If it's really a dealbreaker for a potential buyer, I'll gladly purchase the replacement tank and install it; it's not too hard. Frankly I've never found myself wishing that I had a shorter reverb tank for the Channel 2. Personally I think it's cooler to own...
