I haven't had any issues with the loop or any brittleness. The last couple of pages in the Saturation Mod thread talk about using an AT7 in V2 to add more girth and reduce any harshness with extreme presence/treble settings. I personally haven't experienced that, but most of my dials are set...

I'm a V35 owner (and home player.) I'd say the only downside to the 35 is having to choose between Fat or Crunch mode on channel 1. This amp would probably be perfect for me if it had a 3rd channel only so I could set it up as Fat/Crunch/IV, but that's far from a deal breaker.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I would have liked to see MB put some kind of guidance in the manual. Even something as generic as, "For best results use heaphones with a minimum impedance of X." Oh well, I completely understand that the primary function of an amplifier is to make things loud! :lol:

Unfortunately, the design of the V35 is such that the channel master controls the headphones volume, so to get a decent volume you have to set the master around noon on channel 1. The gain is at 10:00, so I wouldn't expect it to be an issue - no breakup through the cab. Everything else is below...
