Using a pedal switcher and MIDI

Thanks. That is what I had figured. I went ahead and bought the switcher and one midi cable last week just to start learning how to set it all up. The manual for the ES-8 leaves something to be desired, but it wasn't too hard to get it up and running. Today I bought the rest of the stuff...

Using a pedal switcher and MIDI

This is the board I'm looking at https://pedalpad.com/shop/products-buy-now-or-learn-more#!/DEEP-III-Pedal-Boards-Extra-space-below-the-pedal-deck-15-front-to-back-depth/p/91106063/category=0 He has options to build in various input/output jacks into the sides of the boards case. I'm thinking...

Using a pedal switcher and MIDI

I'm looking into putting together a "no expense spared" pedal board, well, mostly no expense spared. I'm thinking of getting a Pedal Pad board and using a Boss ES-8. The Pedal Pad has an option to build in a MIDI connector. I'm trying to determine how many MIDI connectors I would need built...

Who is gigging their Express 5:25+ ?

I don't have a 5:25+ but I do gig with my 5:50+ regularly. I'm in a blues band and we play a lot of very small stages so I just use the clean channel and leave the foot switch at home. There is rarely room for the switch and my (pretty small) pedal board. The speaker is stock but I did put in...

    N A D: TC-100

I was somewhat underwhelmed by Channel 2 also. I put a boost (Rockett Lemon Aid to be exact) in front of it and it came to life.

    Weird Bird Like Swirly Chirping

I wouldn't say the TC-50 is noisy but it has an audible hiss in the high gain channel. I run a lot of gain, I am a gainoholic, and I often use single coils neither of which are low noise compatible. I also think having the boost and a compressor, which isn't adding much boost, elevate the...

    Weird Bird Like Swirly Chirping

The chirping happens with the Dreamscape in front of the amp too. Probably won't be too much of a issue since I plan on running the noise suppressor most, if not all, of the time. The only time I might turn it off is if I want to do volume swells. The G-String works great to make things quiet...

    Weird Bird Like Swirly Chirping

So this the the first amp I have ever used the FX loop. My current setup: Guitar->tuner->ISP Decimator G-String II->(in front of amp) Xotic Compressor->Rockett Lemon Aid->Rockett Blue Note. Then in the FX loop from the G-String->Dreamscape (flange/chorus)->Boss Digital Delay. On both the 2nd...

Reverb & FX On At Power Up

Yes. If the switches are set to "on" and the footswitch is connected then the FX and Reverb are on when the amp powers up. You can then use the footswitch to turn them off and on. Then regardless of whether they were on or off when you shut down, the next time you power up they are on again.

Reverb & FX On At Power Up

Just in case anybody else comes across this, the answer is "Read the @#$%! Manual." Last night I was hooking up some pedals thru the FXLoop and saw the toggle switches which turn the these on by default.

    Speaker Cab

Several weeks ago I picked up a TC-50 with the horizontal 2x12. I love the way it sounds. I've only played it at bedroom and slightly above bedroom levels. Pretty sure the front man for the blues band I'm playing with would not like me showing up with this amp. He wishes I didn't have any OD...

Reverb & FX On At Power Up

I didn't see this in the manual but is there a way to have reverb and the FX Loop on when the amp powers up? After power up the amp defaults to CH. 1 and no reverb or FX Loop. So far I am loving this amp. Especially CH. 3. I've never used an FX Loop before but I may with this amp. I don't...

    Newb Question

I just bought a used TC-50 with a horizontal 2x12 cabinet. I've always used combo amps so this is my first head and cab set up. Is there any difference between the two Speaker outputs? I know that hooking up my single 8 ohm 2x12 cabinet I should have the switch set to 8 ohms but I was just...

    Pedals or Line 6 M13

I think the M13 has some good effects in it but I've haven't been able to get an overdrive/distortion out of it that I like.

    Express 5:50 Plus concerns

Several months ago my Express Plus 5:50 was stolen. I loved the amp. Sounded great. So I bought a new one to replace it. First thing I noticed that there is a "harshness" to the overall tone that I haven't been able to eliminate. I'm not sure how to describe it other than it seems like a...

    New Express Plus 5:50

So tonight at practice I did two things. I rolled the highs off quite a bit from what normal settings had been and I faced the amp backwards so the speaker was facing a wall. Sounded pretty darn good. I rolled the highs off a little too much but I was really liking what I heard. Also got to...

    New Express Plus 5:50

So I recently bought a new Express Plus 5:50. This was to replace my Plus 5:50 that was stolen. I had the original for almost 3 years and absolutely loved it. My pedal board was also stolen and I've recently finished building a new one that is almost identical. There are a couple of pedals I...
