To be honest, I doubt a reissue makes a lot of sense.
From a technical point of view I am sure, some components would have to be used that would be different from the originals. In addition, there are laws in place that might dictate a slightly different design in order to meet these...
I agree. Every power amp should have an adjustable Deep control. I have had several Boogie power amps. The deep switch was always different.
Why not make it adjustable.

I went the long way to do a direct comparison: Dual Rectifier Reborn vs Rectifier Recording Preamp into the DR return. In addition I had a Syn-2 with a Dreadplate module by Salvation Mods and a Diabolo by Sacred Groove. The boost being used was an Airis Savage Boost.´The...
I didn't check the Recording Out, but the normal inputs. Something seems weird. With the modern switch not being connected, the modern channel sounds fine and the other channels/modes sound distorted, almost like ring modulation. I'll get it to the service. :-(
I just picked up a 2:100 power amp that I try to pair with my Rectifier Recording preamp.
Obviously, I use the dedicated inputs and have connected the switching cable for the modern mode.
Here's the issue: Everything works until I swtich to channel 2, modern mode. The power amp will drop in...
Build dedicated TC-100 and JP2C preamps with MIDI and include a switcher like in Synergy's SYN-2. This way one could use such a preamp as a full channel expansion to a Mark V, JP2C or Rectifier. This switcher is an awesome feature that really makes it more useful than a regular preamp.
In...
I'd like to join here, too. I also own a Rectifier Preamp and every now and then I am toying with the idea of getting a Reborn.
In fact, the only relevant sound to me, is the Modern High Gain channel.
My questions:
a. How close is the Preamp channel to the same channel in the Reborn head? If it...
Thanks!
Anyway to sum it up
So far I like the idea of having a Mark VI that includes the 4 channel concept of the Roadking 2.
Add MIDI, a bigger transformer and move around the voicings, maybe add a few and it'll be perfect.
Whow... you have a great amp choice there. Do you think, TC-50, JP-2C and MK V offer enough sound difference?
How does the TC-50 compare to the Stiletto Deuce (which I have)?
As a start I'll try to communicate you my impression of the TC-50.
Individual sound in the Boogie range. It has a british heritage but again it is more modern.
Great layout ans features. Awesome sound that changes with the player, the instrument and the tuning.
I love the clean. There could be...
Hi Everyone,
I currently have the honor to review a TC-50 here. Awesome amp - I live every channel.
I have a Mark V and Recitifier Preamp. However, I have never played the Stiletto series.
Since the TC50 seems to voiced pretty britsh, I wonder how close it is to the Stiletto series (which is...
I would at least say that Boogie should be able to implement MIDI control just like on the JP-2C. And with this, they shpuld be able to store the settings of the voicing switches, just like Engl does it for example.
Great... I fully agree. I would also add that a Mark V should be able to do two high gain sounds. Possibly switch the Mark IIC setting with the Mark I in position?
Many other great thought in this thread, too, like progressive linage.
Personally, I use the Fat clean, the extreme and the Mk IIC...
I sold my triaxis for the Mark V. Although it is so versatile, compackt and fully programmable, I missed that extra quality compared to the Mark V.
Personally, I believe the Mark V outperforms the Triaxis in Clean, Crunch and modern High Gain sounds.
I would be in for a four channel preamp with...
I still demand:
Give me a Mark VI with MIDI switching
and the option to also use the IIC+ sound in channel 2
or better make it a four channel equivalent to the Roadking 2
Clean, Crunch, High Gain 1, High Gain 2
If you had three voicing options per channel it would just be great.
and you...
