Mark V:35 - too quite for drummer

. I have the V35 combo and I run lone star 19 cab under it and it can make my bands ears bleed. Have you looked at the owners manual and made sure that you have matched the impedance of your cab to the correct speaker output? Accidentally assuming that these are all the same is the wrong move...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Ok guys I'm back with further information on my V35. A few posts ago I mentioned a softening of the sound, a natural mellowing that I thought was either the speaker burning in or the power tubes mellowing out. According to my serial # it is within the first 100 made (not that it makes a...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

This is a bump. I'll post back tomorrow with some very Intersting tube images from my V35, I thought my images would work, but they didn't. Let me figure that out and I'll post back with the tube image. Shannon

How are the tubes failing? What caused you to change the entire set? We need a little more info in order to help.

Mark V:35 humming that comes and goes

If your sound was a "strange sound, loss of power, or heavily distorted sound with a loss of volume" I'd look at a power tube. In fact the burning smell you are speaking of may indicate "Red Plating". Something got hot which was accompanied by noise and that could indicate a red plated power...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

PRS Daddy has one very noble idea here. It is definitely worth looking into for your problem kyldh. Also, at the risk of getting castrated, is to remember the solo feature can be set to a lower volume than the channel master (I'm not necessarily bringing that up to you Kyldh, but am reminding...

    New to everything Mesa!!!

Man, I know how your shoes feel. I came over from the Fender camp. I have the V35 combo and love it. It has played shows that I know have tested the physical realm of what an amp can and cannot do. I do play more out of the MK IV setting than anywhere else. I need to spend more time on Extreme...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Sorry guys, I have been away for a long while. Since originally starting this thread I have been through so much more with my MK 5:35. I want to put one thing in perspective for some of you that either newly own the 35 or are looking at it. It takes a good while to find your sound. You will...

Mark V 35 Combo Cabclone Problem

Do you have anything else you can hook to such as a PA board etc. just to trouble shoot the D.I.?

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

As promised I finally had a chance to demo the Cabclone settings of Closed back and Vintage. By far my favorite of the 3 is Vintage. We started out with my base PR-35 mic set up and played as I have for years. After about 5 songs the sound man cut the Mic and went to the D.I., I noticed that the...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

I've had tremendously good service with figuring out a tone at home and then duplicating it live, given that you have a mic that is good, it is done everyday. Cabclone is a wonder to me, I observed more than a few changes that were good. I want to record that live performance if possible and see...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Great!!! I'm glad you got it figured out and know what you need to do! Now, I'd love to get back on topic (the original purpose of this thread) and talk about the V35. I have another show coming up in the next 2 weeks and will once again try to A and B the cabclone through two sets, hopefully...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Gjohung, Your situation is not unique. You have a **** load of singers in a church. You have to take a moment and take your amp home. Set the amp in front of you and just plug your guitar in and FIND what your looking for. Trust me, it is there. There is a magical setting and I will remind you...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

gjohung, I have been reading a lot of your posts and each one of them have a small cry for help. Truthfully, I like you, had a massive amount of pedals to work with. I would fidget with this and play with that and never be happy. I made the conscious decision that I was going about it wrong...

    Mark V recording

I can't attest to cabclone in a recording environment, I think that it has a definite home live though. Personally for all the recording I've done of my guitar amps, I have been using a Heil PR35 for a very long while. This mic has been through high gain wars on stage and it handles loud...

    Mark V:35 Review and thoughts

Well guys I finally found the time to post about cabclone for my V35. First, I need to fill you in on some of our set up so you can get a good idea of the comparison point. We run an all Yamaha PA system with 2 CW218V and 4 C115V cabs. We run all Crown amps and our board is an MGP24. My mic...
