Old thread I know but I'm curious and have a question. Would this tube roll work in a Rev G Dual Recto or Rev F Triple Recto since they or non multiwatt dual and triple rectos?

So I’ve read about the Pre 500 mods and looks like a fun project to noodle around on. But has anyone sent the amp back to Boogie to have there amps modded to Pre 500 specs? I’ve email Boogie and it’s possible but they said my Rev G won’t sound much different.

So who here has had both a Rev F and a MW Recto side by side? I imagine this would be like the Mark IIc+ debate " how close does every other Mark get to the C+ sound". Yep all the other Mark amps sound fantastic and crushing but nothing is like a real C+ so I found one for a good price and...

Looking for a Rev F Triple Rectifier if any one has one or leads let me know please.

Thanks for the input it seems DRGs are a little easy to come by than HRGs so I was thinking finding a DRG and switching it over. Ughhh that never ending search that we're all in to get a C+ haha

Pretty much what the title says has anyone had there amp converted from a drg to hrg or visa versa? I remember asking Boogie if it was possible to do that on a Mark III and it was possible. Just want to see what you guys think.

If a Mark III blue stripe gets the C+ mod does it still retain the blue stripe aggressiveness or does it take away the aggressive nature of the amp?

I think I solved the effects loop issue with a little contact cleaner in the send and return jacks. Played the amp for a couple of hours and everything worked fine swapped preamp tubes around for the fun of it and still everything is all good, hell i think the amp sounded a little more "clear".

I'm still getting the same issues. Anyone else?

So I'm having a weird issue with my Roadster combo, with the loop system engaged the amp will cut in and out for bit frequently and at random but if i switch channels real fast it will come back on so for example. I'm jamming on channel 3 and the amp cuts out ill switch to channel 2 then to 1...

I have my Roadster combo sounding pretty good after getting it back from Boogie. Now I want to explore some different power tubes, currently I have Boogie EL34s and I really like what they do to the Roadster. So I'm curious what would 6CA7,KT77,E34l etc... sound like? Any one have experience...

Yup new to me but not my first Boogie,I only ask cause it was the first time I heard an insanely loud pop when switching to channel 3.

Yup cables were backwards reverb works now. Now a new problem came up, a loud *** pop when switching to channel 3. I hope i didnt knock something out of place when taking the chassis out switch the reverb cables. Any one have popping problem when switching channels?

So the reverb is dead on my Roadster Combo but here's the kicker, when i turn up the reverb knobs on the back i get an increase in volume and gain almost like if you turned up the gain on a OD pedal but no reverb. Im thinking the reverb tank is dead and signal is getting passed through the...

So I swapped the v1 preamp tube and the reverb tube and the buzz is gone and it sounds and feels better like some of the tone and life of the amp is back. I still want to try some different preamp tubes Tung Sol Mullard etc... what other preamp tubes are y’all running if other then the stock...
