Recto Reborn - Vintage mode - Channel 2

and Fixxxer... what do you think of the Roadster's Vintage mode on say, channel 3, compared to the multiwatt Recto? Alan.

    New Metallica Single and Sound

For thus tone gurus out there... what type of sound can you hear on guitars? for me, too aggressive for Mark range... maybe Recto sound? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhBHL3v4d3I Alan.

from mark iv to road king 2

Well, don't fear about the popping, not a big deal really (have a Roadster and with the tap dance previously mentioned 0 problems at any level). Regarding tone... give yourself a treat and watch some YT videos, there are plenty. If you like the vibe, go for it, if you don't, don't even bother...

    My in-depth Roadster review

Sold... Let me buy another one  great review dude... without a doubt, the Roadster is one of the best amps Mesa currently offers. Alan.

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

I really like it a lot man, thanks for sharing and helping me out 8) . I can feel the articulation and the sustain the compressor gave to it (the eq has a little effect on that?). For what I heard I can definitely feel my Roadster vibe there. I think that in some degree is my fault, I do like...

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

Right now I'm using ch 3 Vintage (50w/Tube Rec) for leads and ch 4 Modern (100w/Diode) for rhythm, no pedals in front. Tubes are stock, Mesa 6L6-Rec Tubes-Mesa JJ 12ax7 (Except v1 Mullard and v3 Shuguang). For cab I use the Marshall 1960a Dave Mustaine Sig with V30 (maybe sig too?). Today I was...

Playing lead on a Recto (Mesa pedal content)

Yes to everything above. As I said in another post here... I love how lead sounds on my Roadster, that 3D nature is amazing. If we are talking regarding low volumes (cause we never play loud 10/10 times) I dont enjoy the feeling that much. Now, Im partial to the use of tube screamers/boosters...

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

thank you for posting :) thought it would be fun. Please let me know your findings on the roadster/OB compressor vs the mark v on lead. I do like my lead on the roadster, love how lead sounds on channel 3 vintage but, lacks of the "liquid" feeling at low volumes, not a fan of how it feels...

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

Did nothing really... the mic was mega cheap, so the interface, everything connected to my Mac. One thing to notice, I did use a Tc Spark on "Mid" boosting.

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

Thanks for that dude... Use it lots on live applications and I know what's capable of. In that, I was talking strictly on bedroom level... There are other 100/50w amps that handle better low volumes by far. Buy it for live use but still, never is enough. Would be lying with the settings, used...

    Guess the Mesa amp :)

Well... no... :) The amp I'm using is the Boogie Roadster. I love it to pieces but there are, as you can expect, things that I'm not a fan of (fizz/not the best for bedroom use/not enough compression for that "liquid" lead work to me anyway), but it is the fiercest amp for live use and recording...

    Roadster tubes, 6l6 vs 5881.

Yes I know I've been a little neglected but well... I bought a new Roadster head that came in perfect condition 2 years ago. At the time when I was checking and testing the amp I notice that one 6l6 tube made an unusual sound when I tap it, like something was kinda loose inside. I put...

    Roadster FX loop crackling

Well... like always. 1- double check on the v5 with a known good pre-tube. 2- connect a patch cable on the FX loop to narrow the issue. 3- take a look if this happend on every channel with the fx engage or only on the drive ch's, if only happend on the OD ch's the issue may be on the drive...

    Roadster Mods?

"this amp delivers an awesome liquid and fluid lead tone, believe me...! (this is an advise provided by somebody else in the forum but hell, it works like a charm!)... set the gain at 2:30 - 3:00, set the highs with the treble knob to taste but leave the presence at noon or less, bass...

    Gigged my Mark V 25

Thanks for sharing dude! I've got one question tho... Can you compare the mini Recto/Rectoverb 25 vs the Mark 25? I'm interested in getting one mini head to travel. gigging volumen? low bedroom level? better sounding head? (I know this is subjective but I mean, quality wise :?: )...

RA100 vs Mark v vs Roadster

The Roadster does not have to be loud. With the FX engaged, I can lower the Channel Masters and Master Output to well below late night practice volumes. I'm not saying thats any way to live, but the point is the Roadster can be played quietly when needed. I should mention I have the 2x12 combo...

horrible too... nothing we can do for a mini head.

    NAD: Roadster Head

I guess you have a lemon man... everyone seems so happy with theirs, don't think all Marks are tubes eating monsters (on 45w at least). And yes, I'm with you on the Roadster comments, one of the best amp around, period (maybe the best current Mesa?). For my money is a better option than the Mark...
