    Effect loop problem

    possibly, i don't recall the behavior when the return is not connected. Did you try another pedal or device ? maybe to rule out the MXR.

    excellent delay pedal. I've not found anything in a rack form that is quite as warm and nice as that pedal, especially the stereo tape delay.

    Effect loop problem

    It's a serial effects loop, you will have to complete the signal chain going back into the return, enable the effects loop switch and make sure the level knob on the back is adjusted so that the volume is the same when you engage and disengage the effects loop.

    Axe II with a Mark V

    I used the 4CM method with Axe FX 2, and the Mark V quite successfully. no issues. i tried the hum buster cables, but i didn't really have any noise issues so it didn't matter one way or the other.

    logic would indicate that a neck through would be a better choice for tone, however my experience seems to indicate that choice of woods have more impact than bolt on or neck through. I have two les paul's a custom and a custom shop axcess but my Suhr modern with bolt on neck has superior tone...

    mine has held up well. Watch the mesh pockets and over loading them though, the liner tore in mine at the seam
