Best Delay for Mv in Fx Loop?

I have a Timeline and Eventide H9 in the loop of my Mark V but my current fave for classic rock solos is the Boss DM2 Waza Craft, It enhances without detracting from the solo

    Mesa MarkV / Saturation 'mod'

Fantastic thread guys! I had not changed any of the valves in my Mark V since I bought it new around a year ago. I have now changed V4 and V6 to Jan Phillips AT7's and am really pleased with the results. I am a classic rock guy (low channel volumes , high master , 45W, variac ,tube rect...

Mark V Master Volume & Solo Levels

I generally run channel volumes between 9 and 12 o'clock and aim to run master volume around 12 o'clock to get the power tubes breathing. We generally play with vocals and kick drum only through PA and I run channel 1 in tweed with full gain for a decent crunch in 45w (+/- BB preamp), channel 3...

OFFICIAL MARK V TONE SETTINGS THREAD

Hi Kike I've not managed to get the Mark V to sound like the DSL50 - the tweed crunch with pedal is a bit looser and grainier in the mids and I cannot get the same power tube saturation for AC DC style crunch but saying that I prefer the sound of the Mark V in the band mix as the upper mids...

OFFICIAL MARK V TONE SETTINGS THREAD

I've been gigging with my Mark V for 4 months now and was living on the Crunch mode on Channel 2 most of the time but wanted to try Mark 1 mode for solos although i was more than happy with using the solo boost on Crunch. I changed all my settings just before a gig last night and was blown away...

    Anyone using the Eventide H9?

The H9 is a great pedal . I run it before the amp and also in the loop of my Mark V using the pre/post function and therefore foregoing any stereo effects ( that I don't need with 1 amp). I have had no issues at all with different levels of signal and leave my loop settings on the amp at unity.

    Flashback mini and ep booster

I have the Xotic EP and have it last in chain before the amp. I have it on all the time with no boost and it seems to add a bit of sparkle and thickness to tone. I haven't tried it in loop so cannot compare unfortunately. Great pedal!

New amp day in the UK - Mark V head

Cheers for the advice guys. I had band rehearsal last night and did some tweaking before and during based on your suggestions ( mainly increasing gain) . Unfortunately I had to go down to 10w mode which rounded off the attack a bit but hugely impressed with how it sat in mix and the tone. Loved...

New amp day in the UK - Mark V head

Thanks for your comments Screamingdaisy. I have never used a ton of gain as I'm more used to getting lots of power tube distortion to add compression and fluidity on Marshall style amps. The problem I find with preamp gain is that the more gain the less it cuts through with the band (2 guitars)...

New amp day in the UK - Mark V head

Greetings from Lincolnshire in the UK. I received my new Mark V head earlier this week and have finally had some time to dial in a few tones at a proper volume with everyone out the house! I'm in a covers band covering a wide variety of stuff-Bowie, Deep Purple, Free,Foo Fighters,Biffy Clyro...

    trying out mark v

Thanks for your comments. I've ordered the Mark V head and delivery should be in a few days 😎😎 I was also impressed by the girth of the tone and how it doesn't thin out with gainier lead breaks as most other amps seem to. I need to try it with the guitar volume turned down as well.There...

    trying out mark v

I have been looking for a more versatile amp for my covers band mainly playing in pubs in Lincolnshire UK. We play anything from Bowie through classic rock, Kings of Leon, Black Keys, Foo Fighters ,Biffy Clyro etc. I've been playing a Marshall DSL 50 and Cornford MK50 mk2 but find them limiting...
