Express 5:25 very unequal bias current on the EL84! need help
Just guesses on my part as I'm not familiar with Express. I'm no expert. However, I have a LSC and if this circuit works similar to the Lonestar Special, then here's my 2 cents. My initial thought is that although you may believe that you have matched tubes, the 'Normal mode' data says to me...- ElectricTennisRacket

Lonestar Special bias readings
Anyone know what the function of that 68 ohm resistor is? I've just experienced the same fault. Crispy 68 ohm 1W resistor (R104) went pfft, now reads 51 ohm. The 110 Ohm 10W ceramic resistor next to it was pretty warm too but maybe that is to be expected. My Amp was on 30W setting both...- ElectricTennisRacket
