Mark IIC+ vs VH4 vs Bogner Uberschall

Did a shootout with these beasts to try and figure out which to use on our next recording, I'm no closer to deciding haha. All good in different ways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44R6kEWOc9w

    Mark IIC+ Dream Theater Tone

Just did a wee test with my HRG, think I got sort of close... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdHgrNtNZSc

    Mark IIc+ Leper Messiah

Just gave this song a go with the c+, not as scooped as the original because I don't have a Parametric EQ. Tone has a lot of bite to it, would probably sound great with bass but I left that out so you can hear the nuance of the guitar more. 6 tracks panned hard left and right...

Mark IIC+ recap - huge improvement

This is probably a well established topic but if anyone has a c+ that has not done a recap it's well worth doing. Before I had the caps replaced the low end was a bit loose on the c+ which was not what I was expecting. I managed to dial it out to tighten the amp up using some rather unorthodox...

    Mark IIC+ vs Mark V C+ Mode

Did another shootout, thought the V did pretty well here, definitely a bit more focused sounding than the original like Mesa always like to highlight with their newer offerings. C+ sounds smoother but not as tight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boQXl0wb8D4&feature=youtu.be

    60/100 query

Hi guys, just curious how this power section works? In 60w mode does it drop a couple of the tubes like simuclass? If so which ones are dropped / active? Cheers

IIc+ style tone without the IIc+

Did a test recently with the Mark III and Mark V, interestingly to my ear the III sounds closer to the IIc+ than the V that features the same preamp circuit as the c+ (supposedly). The biggest difference seems to be that the V has more mids, it's more articulate than the III but can't achieve...

    Mark III reverb very faint

My Mark III reverb is incredibly subtle, like barely noticeable. Only when I do short sharp notes with it on 10 and then 0 do I notice a difference. I tried swapping in the reverb tank from my Mark IV which made it slightly more noticeable, but it's still very faint. Is there an easy fix for...

Mark III vs Mark IV vs Mark V comparison video / poll

Just posted this video comparison, was experimenting to decide which combination I want to use in a mix but figure this might be useful for others that may want to know the tonal differences. Vote in the poll if you like and aid my decision, I find them all to be great in different ways...

    Mark III Reverb question

I just bought a Mark III but it seems the reverb tank has come unhooked during the shipping process. I've found where the connectors plug in but am unsure of which goes where? There is a white and a grey cable. Any help much appreciated.

    Mark V fuse blown, HELP!!

Recently a was happily rocking out on my Mark V when out of nowhere it just completely lost power. I noticed the fuse was blown so replaced it then rebooted it and inspected my power tubes. Here I noticed as soon as I took the amp off standby the left of the center 6l6 pair was glowing red hot...
