New owner of a Stiletto Deuce stage I. Couple questions.

Yep I can see how its to" in between" for hardcores in both camps. Nothing like my old Mark III or DC5 or my DSL or SLX. After a retube(Mesa) and the Arrival of 2xEv12Ls I should go from happy owner to ecstatic.

New owner of a Stiletto Deuce stage I. Couple questions.

First off I had owned a Mark III,DC3,DC5,Single Recto, etc in the past and Love Randall Smiths work immensely. With the Stiletto I get Marshall/British voicings but with Boogies authoritative power and high end build quality. First question: can any brand footswitch be used or just Mesa as one...

New User and just got a Mark III

Welcome too the Mark III club. Once you dial her in its pure Magic. My Purple stripe coombo reallly is a religious type of experience iwhen I get the Master cooking. Cleans, crunch, omg gains, etc its all there and some. More folks are catching on too how Great the Mark III really is and there...

I have a Mark IV, do I want a Mark III?

The Mark III purple stripe I have really is quite open sounding. It maintains punch and clarity and provides so much useable gain at all levels.. The reverb can ad squish for a more compressed effect/ feel moreso than as a pristine verb unit.. Actually the Mark III is quite a versatile amp...

NAD : Mark III combo, purple stripe

Well after a few more days I am still agas with the Purple Stripe MK III. Mine is #18725. Not sure which transformers yet but she packs enough ommph too bury my buds dsl and 2x12. I like the commercial grade fan its huge but as quiet as many computer fans. The Mark III is really a tweakers...

NAD : Mark III combo, purple stripe

Well I had a trade offered and I took a Mark III combo. Love all the Mesa's honestly and the couple I have owned were special in one way or another. The purple stripe has lots of musical high gain and is liquidy smooth more than I envisioned. The clean is brilliant imo and with my Strats sc's...

Getting sweet tone from my DC-5 & OCD

MY local GC has a used OCD for $50. I have been toying with a boost for a different flavor on the channels but my TS-9 and BD just dont gel with the Boogie like I want. No big deal as I love the DC5's voicing primarily anyways.

    Convert dc5 combo to head?

Do Not do this OP. I did this too a Fender Bandmaster in the days of my youth and truly regret it too this day. I not only devalued but also destroyed a piece that should have been appreciated by someone other than me further along the line. These days with the web Classifieds and wanted ads its...

    NAD 50 Caliber + and Cab -w/pics!

Seems the board is mounted upside down. It's the right board. Maybe thats a Early model. If it works you arent screwed. Inquire Mesa in a email with the pic's and serial number. Maybe you got a test model or something.

    DC 5 Lead channel settings.

I found that both my DC3 and DC5 sound fuller with the Master output set around 7 and the channel volume both set at 2'sh. Very loud but the power tube ommph is more fore front imo. The gain set at 6-4 on the lead and the same on the rhythm with the verbs on 2-4. big,big tones. The suggestions...

I think I did something bad to my DC-3...

Also re seat the tubes. I had what I thought was a bad tube that turned out too be just loosened from its socket. The pot hole roads will loosen the tubes up in many amps.

I think I did something bad to my DC-3...

You didnt have this problem before you moved? Do you use a quality surge protector? I found the culprit sometimes is questionable wiring when going from place too place. I have a Computer surge protector/power conditioner that cleaned up some of my dirty electricity issues. worth noting.

    The Official DC Club

I loved the DC-5 demoes and its live sound so much I traded for a REV A head. With either a 1x12 EV or a 2x12 V30 setup it truly Smokes. Way more flexible than many of my other amps and yet bridges the Mesa tones nicely with a Bit of Mark and Recto as well as Maverick. Truly a Great amp among...

What's a DC? Ten words or less.

I thought it was allready established that All the DC's have 2 channels but the Pull out rhythm is only on the 5/10. This What the El84 Based 2&3 Do Not Have. Right? And btw I know a modder or 4 that could absolutely Turn the rhythm into a ftsw like faux 3rd channel.

What's a DC? Ten words or less.

The Dc 5 and Dc 10 both have the dedicated 2channels But the rhythm channel has a .50cal like ability to change it's Character with the pull out gain A third channel if you will. The Dc 2/3 don't have this option.

What's a DC? Ten words or less.

The DC2 is quite different from the DC3 and even More so the DC5/10. The GEQ makes the DC a poor mans MK IV with a splash Of Recto in the mix.

Considering Selling My DC-3 - What's it worth?

I listed mine for $650 and got $600. Mine was the DC3 combo only. You have the head shell which from most accounts is the more desirable version of the DC-3 While the above posters list shows completed sales avg. I'd say the avg is lower than real world purchases at least on the DC's. I still...

    FT - Boogie Footswitch DC- N - 2 button,LED's - FT

I'm needing a foot switch or 2 for my Rev A DC-5. I need the non led EQ/REV 2 button switch and would prefer not too tamper with the one I have but rather get the appropriate type switches for both the front channel ftsw and the mentioned EQ/Reverb one. Looking for a local trade pls IE: lower...

Stock dc5-A can it use a mfx pedal without modding?

I thought I would have too mod the loop as well on my DC3 but after following the Boogie manuals suggestion of M/FX on 100% or very near and then amp loop on zero and then increment up too desired mix worked out well for me. Ive not done so on my new old DC5 head but expect similar and useable...
