Solved! The warmth of Tremoverb Cleans

Love hearing great things about the Tremoverb....at 55 years old I've gone through a lot of amps. For my ears the Tremoverb is unequaled in it's versatility. Cleans are pristine, chunky riffs and soaring leads are to die for. Blues: covered, Metal: covered, Country: covered, Classic rock....no...

TA-15 - Channel 1 Amp Noise Issue (Sound Clip included)

Shouldn't be noise....that's why I took mine back....every TA-15 and TA-30 I tried had the same issue....Lynnwood, Kirkland and Seattle GC's had these last year....huge sale....everyone had noise. Should be a recall on them all....just my opinion. Unlike my old Mesa Tremoverb....quiet as can...

Anyone here switch from a mark IV to a Tremoverb?

Don't just blindly believe everything you read on this board....just yesterday a friend of mine was over playing on my Tremoverb with a Carvin Ultra V tuned to drop c as I was changing strings on another guitar....he had the volume turned really low....even lower then what would be considered a...

Anyone here switch from a mark IV to a Tremoverb?

I didn't make the switch you mentioned but I will tell you the Tremoverb is my favorite amp.... Over the years I've owned a lot of amps and tried out a ton more and in my opinion the Tremoverb is the best 100w amp for under a grand. 8)

    recommendation please

After having a little time with the MESA TA-15 before returning it, and then now having the HK 18 for the last couple of weeks I must admit I wish the TA-15 would have worked out....though I like my HK 18 I really liked the 2nd channel on the Mesa....looking back I'm wondering if I made the...

    recommendation please

Went back and gave the TA-15 one more try....could have picked up a new one from GC at $679.99....and your right the hum isn't loud but it's there....when you switch to channel 2 it's not....yeah you could ignore it....once you play you can't hear it....but when you stop and hear that...

    I'm Back! NAD TA-15

    recommendation please

I guess we will just have to disagree on this one....I'm not a newbie....I'm 53 and been playing forever....My first tube amp was a Fender Twin back in 1990....never changed a tube once in the 10 years I had it....after that, had my Fender Deluxe Reverb for 9 years....never a tube change....sold...

    recommendation please

Faulty tube on an occasional ta-15....no biggie....but hum on all 4 that I've tried....that's a biggie....as far as my research has gone I would conclude the TA-15 should be recalled, as well as the TA-30.... ....the ones I tried after mine that hummed were all brand new....same with the...

....GREAT AMP YOU SAY....piece of junk and waste of time and money I say....what's up with this hum on the clean channel? Switch to the 2nd channel and quiet as can be....but hum on the clean channel....totally unacceptable. Sent it back after trying it less then 5 minutes....went to a local...

Found some good deals on used ones....as low as 475 and up to 700....spent 599.99 on one listed as "excellent condition"....should be here by friday.

no reply's....this board seems kind of dead at times compared to Carvin and Marshall forum's....oh well. ....took the plunge yesterday....returned the Tubemeister 5 and ordered a TransAtlantic TA-15....$600 used.... in excellent shape.... with footswitch! 8)

I was worried this would happen....

The Tubemeister 5 didn't do it for me....so took it back for a full refund and will next try a Mesa Boogie TransAtlantic TA-15....going with a used one said to be in excellent shape....paid $600....there were two others cheaper....one for 475 and another for 550....but there condition was not...

    recommendation please

Very disappointed in a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 5 I purchased recently....way too much treble for me....could use just a little more head room on clean....and definitely not crunchy enough....doesn't seem to like my pedals much as well. Looking for a lunch box amp to go with my 100w Mesa...

I was worried this would happen....

ok....just call me fickle....decided to have Roger at Guitarville retube the Marshall JCM900....took it in last Friday and just got it back....Wow! ....what a difference....6L6GC tubes sound better then the 5881's....Roger told me the tube change will be like buying a brand new amp and he wasn't...

I was worried this would happen....

Well now I'm about 95% sure I'm going to get an EVH 5105 III 50 watt head and keep the Marshall for now....a friend of mine has offered to buy one of my Les Paul's....it would really hurt to sell her but to be honest it was more of an investment guitar rather then one I play much....plus I'll...

I was worried this would happen....

Never had the Marshall amp worked on....sounds great too me....but maybe taking it in to get a check up would be a good idea. ....also....a Mesa DC-5 might be another option....read some good things about it....there's one for sale for $650. ....it seems like every Mesa I read about is pretty...

I was worried this would happen....

I'm not wanting to stereo two amps....I'm looking for amps for two set-ups....right now I have two friends who come over at different times....my friend Dave lives 5 hours away and my friend Dino a half hour away...when they come over I don't want them to have to bring there equipment, so, me...

How to get a fatter lead tone on my Rectifier?

    HP/LP switch....high peak/low peak....a friend told me it another way....LP=Marshall, HP=Mesa.

How to get a fatter lead tone on my Rectifier?

I have and have tried both the TS-808 Tube Screamer and Fulltone OCD....the Fulltone sounds 10 times better then the TS-808 with my Mesa DR Tremoverb....so I would consider giving that pedal a try to fatten up your lead tone....I also use a Fulltone Fatboost FB-3 to give my solo's a little extra...
