I didn't make the switch you mentioned but I will tell you the Tremoverb is my favorite amp.... Over the years I've owned a lot of amps and tried out a ton more and in my opinion the Tremoverb is the best 100w amp for under a grand. 8)

The Tubemeister 5 didn't do it for me....so took it back for a full refund and will next try a Mesa Boogie TransAtlantic TA-15....going with a used one said to be in excellent shape....paid $600....there were two others cheaper....one for 475 and another for 550....but there condition was not...
