    Mark IV Pull Pot

So would the pot work without modification since the taper issue is only relevant from 0-2ish? I can't imagine setting lead drive below 5. When I had my first IV it was almost always set at 7-9.

    Mark IV Pull Pot

Looks like it's out of stock there as well. Thanks though! No luck on this specific pot, but thanks! I believe that's the same as the one I found on Amazon, which has poor reviews based on the taper. I don't know alot about this, but I believe you can put a resistor onto a pot to smooth out...

    Mark IV Pull Pot

Yea, I'm in the US. Thanks though! The shaft is broken, but the pot itself doesn't work. It spins 360° and there's no change in gain level. The pull bright function still works though. I bought it from eBay, so it could have been damaged in shipping.

    Mark IV Pull Pot

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the Lead Drive pot on my Mark IV? I contacted Mesa and they no longer keep them in stock. I found one on Amazon that might work, but the reviews said they were poor quality. This is the pot on Mesa's site: Pot 591842 - 280/S 1M Audio with...

WTT ESP M II for Mesa

Bump for more pictures. If you're interested and don't have a RA, I would sell for $1050 including shipping and paypal, possibly a little less depending on how you want to pay and how far it needs to ship.

WTT ESP M II for Mesa

I'm mainly looking for a Royal Atlantic. I'm not interested in TA 15 or 30, as I prefer the EL34 or 6L6 amps. Feel free to send me an offer if it's a different amp, but just know I'm looking for something in the clean/blues/gained up blues realm. A cash offer is fine too, but I'm mainly looking...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

A local music store had a floor model Royal Atlantic up for auction on Ebay. I sent them a few messages trying to get in touch with someone to see if they'd do a trade + some cash because there were no bids on the amp. No response until after the amp sold, with 1 bid, for $1000 and free...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

Thanks for the input! I agree. I realized towards the end of playing the RA, that I was trying too hard to do two different things with the Lo and Hi. I just used the Hi as a lead tone and it worked much better that way. I think the Express Plus sounds a bit better than the original Express...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

Thanks for the help everyone. Yea the Roadster is a bit too much, and really just too loud. I owned one for a while and it's an incredible rock amp, and definitely fits what I'm looking for now but it's overkill. I played a bunch of stuff this weekend. Heaertbreaker, Electra Dyne, Royal...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

I owned a Mark IV for a little while, and I didn't really get a long with R2. I could probably get the lead channel to do what I'm looking to do now, but I never tried it when I had it because i was looking for metal tones. My concern with Mark III's is that they're 30 years old at this point...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

Thanks for the input guys. I did own a Mini Rec and I liked it a lot, but for what I want I would prefer to have the Pushed mode on channel 2 as even the vintage mode is a little too metal. The Mini Mark is kind of the same deal, channel 2 it too aggressive. Also, to clarify I don't need to...

Help Finding a Non Metal Mesa

I'm thinking of potentially picking up a Mesa as I am currently Boogie-less. I'm a metal player, but I'm not looking for a metal amp because I've found one that is perfect for me. That means I'm looking for an amp in unfamiliar territory, and so I'm coming to you guys for help with steering me...

Getting Metal tones out of a Dual Rectifier (Rev F)

A Recto won't need help to do a metal tone, however it may need help to do the metal tone you have in your head. I'm not familiar with the older Dual Rec's, but I believe they are voiced tighter and brighter than they're modern day counterparts. These settings might not work for that amp, but...

    Roadster Preamp Tubes Keep Blowing

Yea I had thought V3 was the problem, but when I pulled V2 I saw it was a Russian, so that was the tube I replaced, and it worked fine initially. I'm going to call them tomorrow. Does putting a non Mesa preamp tube in void the warranty? I know power tubes do, but I'm not sure about preamp...

    Roadster Preamp Tubes Keep Blowing

I picked up a Roadster head last week at Guitar Center on clearance. When I got it home I was playing through channels 3 and 4 and everything seemed great. Switched to playing 1 & 2 and everything was perfect. Switched back to channel 3 and it was awful. Low volume, very fizzy, lots of bass, and...

Getting Metal tones out of a Dual Rectifier (Rev F)

Don't worry too much about tubes, just get an OD pedal. Max level, tone towards upper mid focus, gain off, and keep your amp gain, bass, and presence in check.
