    Mark IV slave out question

That's what I'd thought, but the Recording Out on its own just sounds thin and harsh and with impulses sounds just as weak as the Slave Out. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, but it just sounds BAD.

    Mark IV slave out question

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Recording Out have cab emulation already? I'd like to use my own impulses.

    Mark IV slave out question

Hellooooo denizens of the internet! I've been trying to record my Mark IV head using the Slave Out and God's Cab impulses, but my sound is just terribly weak and thin, nothing like when I record with an SM57. I have a sneaking suspicion that the cable is the problem (I'm just using a standard...

    new KING SNAKE Boogie

That looks beautiful! Only thing is, I feel it's on the expensive side, even as far as Boogies go (Mark V combo is around $2250, from what I've seen the King Snake will retail at $2500). Still, fabulous work as usual by the guys at Mesa/Boogie!

Best amp sim in place of my real boogie

Depends what specific amp it is. If you have a Rectifier, then yes, Lecto. If it's a Mark series (I see a IIC+ in your sig), the only one I know is the Mark III sim in Amplitube, which gets a lot of mixed reviews.

My first instrumental rock song + Mark IV test!

^Thanks! Obviously I don't know how you'd take to it, but my Mark IV has killed all amp GAS for what it's worth. I had the presence really high on this song, and my mic is kinda bright to begin with, so it sounds a bit fizzy, but I've redialed it and it sounds quite a bit better. I may have to...

My first instrumental rock song + Mark IV test!

The pickups are stock, but I'm probably going to swap a Dimarzio Crunch Lab and Air Norton S for the bridge and neck in the next few months. I was only using the bridge pickup on this song though. Really glad you liked it, would appreciate support on Facebook or Soundcloud if you get a chance...

Hey all, I finally got around to doing a brief runthrough of the channels on my Mark IV A combo, and I thought I'd post it here for some feedback. I'm using a Fender HSS Strat straight in, with a Sennheiser e835. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtNT971lJMM Please let me know what you think!

My first instrumental rock song + Mark IV test!

Hey everyone, I've been knocking around on my Mark IV for two or three months, and I figured the time was ripe to record something! I've been working on this idea for about two months, and I finally recorded it last month and got it up! I'd appreciate any constructive feedback. If you like it...

Lead boost on Mark IV - am I missing something?

Too much gain - when I play lead sections with the pedal on, I have to switch to the neck pickup to make it sound reasonably articulate. On the bridge, it just turns into a mess.

Lead boost on Mark IV - am I missing something?

Hey all, So I recently picked up a Joyo Vintage Overdrive (tubescreamer clone) as a lead boost for my Mark IV A combo. Trying to get a little bit of a gain boost to make legato and tapping lines easier. However, when I set the knobs on the lead channel for a good rhythm sound (gain at 7, drive...

Mark IV running 2xE34L and 2x6L6 - wattage?

Hey everyone, I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find a similar thread anywhere. Also, first post! :D So, as of two months ago I am the proud owner of a Mark IV A combo! When I bought it, it was (and still is) running Groove Tubes E34Ls in the outer sockets and Mesa 6L6s...
