    Foot Switch Cables?

Thanks all! That's what I figured...trying to save $$$ by using sale priced guitar cables instead of stock foot switch cables.

    Foot Switch Cables?

Does the type of foot switch cable make any difference as to noise/performance of a Mark IIC or Studio .22+? i.e. speaker cable vs guitar cable, shielded/unshielded and/or lengths of these cables? Loss of highs, lows, volume, noise? Thanks for all replies.

    Cooling fan for Studio .22+

WOW! That's good to hear. I was really concerned about the heat. The entire top of the amp gets quite warm (understatement) after an hour of playing compared to other amps. I'm thinking longevity.... it sure gets hot ...even the handle covers get toasty. Is Kirk Lorange still the best slide...

    Cooling fan for Studio .22+

Recently acquired a .22+ and it runs pretty hot so I'm considering a fan to reduce the cabin temperature. Any suggestions as to placement and/or brand/model of fan? The transformer is significantly hotter than the tube section, so should I place the fan beneath the trans or under the tube...

What's this sound upon shut down?

My Mark II C+ is making a strange new sound when I shut it off. It's a sort of low volume "DOOOooooooooo"....that fades. The amp sounds great otherwise. It never made this sound before. Is it anything to be concerned about? Thanks for all replies

If I use only one 4 ohm speaker jack will it hurt anything?

Thanks....any idea if it will distort earlier than if I use 8 ohm....neighbors are in so I can't crank it to see/hear the difference.

If I use only one 4 ohm speaker jack will it hurt anything?

My speaker is a Black Shadow 8 ohm, and I read somewhere that if I plug it into the 4 ohm jack it will distort/break up sooner than if I use the 8 ohm jack. True? False? Will it hurt anything buy plugging the 8ohm speaker into the 4 ohm jack. Yeah I know this is a dumb question.

Suggestions for warm speaker for C+? Austin Speaker Works???

Got a 60 watt, C+, reverb/EQ and original Black Shadow speaker and at high volume it's fabulous but at lower volumes it's lacks some "warmth". Any suggestion for warming it up and still being able to handle higher volumes? I should probably just get a lower power amp but am considering a...

Mark II C+ plate voltage question

FWIW...got still another opinion....amp guy says not to worry...couldn't find anything wrong... says the weird numbers when turning master volume are from some kinda oscillation (?) that effects the meter? Oh well....twang on

Mark II C+ plate voltage question

Thanks for your reply... Went to an amp buddy (who builds amps) and he measures plate voltage from each power tube socket and sure enough both were right at 447. Whew... what a relief...although now if ones turns the master volume past 3 the digital readout gets lower, then SOARS to 500+, and I...

Mark II C+ plate voltage question

I regularly gig with my C+ and then right in the middle of a set it blows a fuse and smokes.... smells like burning wires. Finished the gig with a back up baby Marshall from a friend, and the boogie is now fixed with two new 470 ohm 5W resistors, new 2.5 slo-blo fuse, also a couple of 12AX7...

Thanks. I certainly agree about the smooth factor. It LOVES P90s as much as humbuckers.
