I picked up a used '94 TVerb yesterday. Didn't get to really turn it up much till today. Orange channel dropped to barely a whisper, red is fine. Mesa said to check preamp tubes one by one, did that and still no dice. I also tried plugging directly into the fx loop which works. Tried replacing...

Well..I tried replacing v1 and no joy. I'm going to try the rest of the preamp tubes then if nothing, have to suspect the dreaded LDR issue..

Thanks for the tips. I got to crank it up today and after a couple minutes the orange channel suddenly dropped to barely audible - The red works just fine. I figure it could be a preamp tube and I'll try and call tech support later in the day to see if they could assist. If I can get the bugs...

Besides never sell it? Purchased from the Pittsburgh area, I drove 3+ hours one way to get it - and wasn't leaving without it! Heard good things about them and so far with the half hour of low level, family friendly volume - I can see why so many like it and cant wait to crank it up a bit more...

I'm still getting used to it, had a supatrem once and no other has equaled it. I do like the small footprint, but getting the internal level is a pain. Dialed it in with my RKII, switched to mini and it was way louder. I'm sure it has something to do with the difference in the loops between both...

Don't know much about the amp itself, but in the past I have substituted a less powerful tube in the reverb section to calm them down a bit. Someone could of re-tubed with a higher value possibly? I know in my 60's Bassman heads the reverb calls for a 12au7 and the others are 12ax7..

I run a mxr analog chorus m234, lovepedal babyface trem and a malekko chicklett reverb into the loop of my mini. Also looking at the ep booster, is it subtle or can you get good volume out of it?.
