Seriously, I liked the clean, crunch and blues channel on the 5:50 I had but it’s hard to find a bad sound in the MarkV.
I’m going to state the obvious and say an older Mark IIC+ will nail Mark IIC+ tones. :)
Seriously, any Mark series amp you mentioned will get you there. They all share the same DNA.
The FX8 has two relay outs on the back. Put a 1/4” cable out of each relay out to the Mark V channel 2 and 3 inputs on the back of the amp. FX8, 2 relay outs, 2 regular cables, 2 inputs on the back of your amp. It’s that simple.
My MarkV35 doesn’t really open up until the master is at least 9:00, which is loud. I’m using an attenuator at home and I’m getting excellent low volume tone. I’m sure you could do the same with a JP2.
