    Reverb not working

Bought my JP last March, and the amp sounds phenomenal. Although, when I bought it I didn't try out the reverb. A week later I tried it out and it didn't work. Doesn't work on any channel, and doesn't work with or without the footswitch enabling it. Changed the corresponding preamp tube to no...

    Is the honeymoon over already??!!

Yeah let us know. I'm interested in your findings only because I've also played mine at gig volumes and didn't find it rectoish at all. I've had a recto and still have a IV. Like you said it may be something wrong with yours. Interesting.

    Is the honeymoon over already??!!

Smitty, in another thread you said that the JP reacts and tracks better than the V. Has something changed? I have a IV b and it's not any tighter than my JP.

    JP-2C vs Mark IV

I'm going to try out those suggestions Sam. Sounds like a logical fix to the all or nothing gain. I would agree with Sam about the tightness of the amp. I will say that as far as aggression, it's more aggressive than the IV. I've never played a III, but I've heard they're the most aggressive...

    JP-2C vs Mark IV

I have both of these amps. If your looking for a "crunch" channel in the truest sense of the word then this isn't what you're looking for. The Mark IV isn't well known for channel 2, and you won't really find that on this amp either. The second channel on the Jp is really high gain. Even with...

    JP-2C loop issue?

Has anyone experienced any hum with the effects loop...specifically in channel one? I have my noise suppressor on, but it doesn't take it entirely away. It's less predominant in the other channels but still there. I had some spare preamp tubes so I did a swap to no avail. My Mark IV was dead...

    New Mini-Mark V 25!

Hmmm, not sure this would replace my beloved Mark IV. Although I do think that this amp will dethrone the mini rec as king of the lunchbox amps. Mesa hit a home run with this one.

    New Mini-Mark V 25!

I've seen a lot of people hoping for one of these, and here it is. Mesa tweeted this link today for the demo! Looks awesome and sounds great...enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcuF5n9f-Hk

    Boosting MK IV for solos

Thanks for the eq suggestion, but I NEED the eq for my rhythm tone! Can't live without it.

    Boosting MK IV for solos

I'm coming from a Recto that has a solo boost built in, to a Mark IV without one. It's frustrating me during soloing with my band. The mark is a huge step up in every way but this. I put my OD out front and it doesn't give me the volume boost I need. So I put it in the fx loop and it boosts the...

    Mark IV popping sound

The tubes have about 60 hours on them. I'll try swapping them out.

    Mark IV popping sound

When I power up my mark I always do as instructed in the manual...full power, wait 30 seconds, then turn standby to "on." When I turn the standby to the on position I get a loud pop. This happens at low and high volumes. I dont recall it always doing this but i could be wrong. is this normal or...

    Mark iv fan

Ok, I think I made it sound like I can't hear the fan. When I power up, I hear the fan clearly start up and it makes a constant "fan" noise. Not super loud but definitely noticeable. I just wanted to make sure that the fan was supposed to be that loud or supposed to be silent. Sorry for the...

    Mark iv fan

Just bought a Mark IVb from a forum member here. Just wondering when I power up, should the fan make a bit of noise. I can't hear it through the cabinet, but I've never had an amp with a fan so I didn't know if it was supposed to be silent or not.
