    WTB: Studio Preamp

Hi, looking for a studio preamp in good condition. I can pay cash, or can trade for a Rare Demeter TGA-slave poweramp that was made at the same time as the TGP-3 and TGA-3.

    Question about my MK II...

Awesome. I'll keep an eye out for one, then I'll have this spare bassman head for my next amp project. Quick question: what kind of footswitch will work for this amp? It only footswitches between clean/lead on this amp right?

    Question about my MK II...

Yeah, the clean tone is absolutely what sold me on the amp. Grabbed a 60's strat and tore it up, and the amp begged for more. Aside from being in a ratty bassman enclosure, and the 2nd from the right slider on the EQ being busted off (can still move the arm though), the actual chassis is in...

    Question about my MK II...

Hey all, just bought a Mark II. Serial number in the 60xx range. Short head chassis, but the original owner mounted it in a fender bassman enclosure for some reason (doesnt span the length of the front panel though), but I got it for 400 bucks. anyways, the knobs in the front are black and...

Mark IIB / IIC to IIC+ specs

Ahhh... I'm a broke college student, this is a deal of a lifetime I'm getting on this amp otherwise I wouldnt be able to afford one. If I can get a copy of an IIC+ and an IIC schematic I can pull it off. I'm an EE major, so it shouldnt be too hard. If I can build an amp from scratch, I can...

Mark IIB / IIC to IIC+ specs

Would mike be willing to disclose that info? I mean, its a mod that Mesa offers, so technically if he disclosed it to me they are essentially losing money that way. Got a number for Mike? I called the hollywood store a couple days ago and they said that Mike is over at the factory, which is a...

Mark IIB / IIC to IIC+ specs

Called the place the amp is coming from. According to them, the inside center of the knobs are black, not silver. This should be a giveaway that its an IIC, but I wont hold my breath. At any rate, anyone have what turning an IIC into an IIC+ would consist of?

Mark IIB / IIC to IIC+ specs

sorry if this has been discussed before. I have the ability to grab a Mark II either B or C (not sure what it is yet) for 420 bucks. Problem is the original owner took out the chassis and put it in a fender bassman enclosure for some reason, but other than that it's a Mark IIB or C. Anyways...

WTB Mark III Green stripe (preferably) or modded Mark III

Looking for a Mesa Mark III green stripe (preferably but I'd be interested in others as well). cosmetic condition isnt an issue as long as electronics function perfectly. Email me with pictures and we'll see if we can come to terms on a price. joelap at gmail dot com.

    Mark III stripe variation questions

Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking to hear, and also confirms my impressions of the one I tried (one of the first black stripe or dots). I thought the gain was a little too harsh on the bright side for me and I couldnt really dial it out. So I guess a green stripe is the way to go...

    Mark III C+ Mod

Anyone know exactly what the Mark III -> IIC+ entails? I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and wouldn't mind getting my hands dirty on my own (soon to be my own) Mark III. If anyone has the details, could you post or email me? joelap at Gmail dot com Thanks Of course, if I do get a copy...

    Mark III stripe variation questions

That is what I did read. My question is whether or not there is a BIG difference between the models or a hardly noticeable one. I guess I'll need some people to chime in with personal experience. Also, the big ? here is what the "Lead channel reshaping" on the green stripe model entails...

    Mark III stripe variation questions

Hello all, n00b on these forums. Been looking into a Mesa Mark III since one popped up used in a local store near my house. Always liked the Mark IV's, but I prefer simpler amps generally, and the Mark III seemed a perfect compromise between # of knobs and versatility for me. I'm in the...
