Mark V Head - Excellent Condition

I am the second owner of this head, I bought it from a session player here in Seattle late last year and have just figured out that this is more amplifier than I need. With that said, it really lives up to all the hype - without a doubt this is the most flexible, most tone-rich, most versatile...

    Tremoverb Combo

This amp was traded for a Single Rectifier and 4x12 cabinet (plus $100 from me), and is no longer available.

    Transatlantic Cabs?

My 1x12 19 arrived today, the voicing seems very well matched to the TA-15. Some of the settings that made my ears bleed through the Tremoverb's cabinet now seem a lot smoother, and the Vox/Top Boost setting is amazing. I am happy that I bought a TA cabinet to go with a TA amp. I'lll still...

    Tremoverb Combo

One of the legendary Mesa/Boogie combos, taken from the Rectifier lineage and with a lush Tremolo and the famous Blues Channel. I'm the second owner, and am selling it after many years because I have just downsized to a smaller Mesa Transatlantic setup. I have never had an amp that has so much...

    Transatlantic Cabs?

Well, I just bought the TA 1x12 19 and it should be here in about a week.

Used Mesa Boogie Mark V combo price

I've been looking out for a Mark V, and the used asking prices seem to range from $1,500-$1800 for the head and $1,600-$1900 for the combo. There have been a few combo cabinets without the amplifier installed on ebay for $300-$350. If I saw one at $1,200 (CAD or USD) I would be very concerned...

    WTB: Transatlantic 15

I've been thinking about selling mine and just going with a Mark V. PM me if you're interested.

Which 12" cab did you get, 19 or 23? What are your needs?

    Transatlantic Cabs?

I'm about to pick up a TA-15 head, and am curious if anyone has tried the four matching cabinets? 1x10 1x12 19 1x12 23 2x12 I'm not actively gigging so the 2x12 is probably out for me, but I'm curious what others are using with their TA-15's and TA-30's.

    Where to go after Tremoverb?

I'm now looking for a THD Hot Plate, but the more I look at the Mark V the more I want one

    Where to go after Tremoverb?

There's a little bit of GAS in there, admittedly. I'm looking into the THD Hot Plate now, anyone else using one of these they like?

    Where to go after Tremoverb?

You are correct, I have tried to get Vox-y and I don't really miss it :) I don't really want to get into tweaking the amp into territories that would start burning out components, I'd rather just spend some money and get something that is built for what I need. The Express:50 seems to deserve...

    Where to go after Tremoverb?

Very interesting, the Maverick seems to be quite a rare piece. I'll start looking more into that. I'm starting to think that I want to stick with 6L6 designs, there's a meatiness in those amps that the EL84 doesn't seem to be able to reach. Anyone care to disagree?

    Where to go after Tremoverb?

I have happily owned a Tremoverb for many years. I love my amp like no other I've ever owned or heard, the tone and versatility are simply amazing. My tone is more blues/rock/alternative and I stick with the clean/vintage/blues channels all of the time. High gain is not my thing, so is not a...

    Trem-o-verb Lovers?

Wow, that's a pretty tough review to follow! The first thing in five years that has even remotely intrigued me is the new(ish) Mark V. Everything else is just "meh" to my ears. I love how I haven't touched a distortion/overdrive pedal in years. No need to any more, my amp has everything...

    Tremoverb vs. 3 Ch DR

I have a Tremoverb combo, and it has (nearly) completely stopped my amplust. The clean is beautiful, and the only amp I can think of that significantly betters it is the Roland Jazz Chorus but they are one-trick ponies and aren't even in the same league overall. The modern high gain is...

good 2x12 combo that doesn't make a lot of noise?

Buy a Tremoverb. Quiet, versatile, powerful.

    Getting rid of Tremoverb???

Slightly off topic, but in the Vai/Satriani/Petrucci G3 it's Petrucci's Mesa-driven tone that walks all over the others. Vai and Satriani have technique to die for, but the richness and fullness of Petrucci's sound is clearly a notch above. I have owned a number of Mesas in the past, and my...

Deal or No Deal 2Ch DR Pics

As a former Canadian now in the US, I can say that this formula works the other way around for high-end gear. There's a limited market up there, and if you don't buy the rig there can't be many others locally that would be able or willing to buy it. I vote to press for fair value in the US...
