    JUST PLAYED A MINI RECTIFIER!!!

I played this the moment we got them in on the loading dock, and I honestly like the tone MORE than the actual Rectifiers, strangely enough. It has a massive low end and a bit more in the upper mids. Good stuff.

    Heil PR-20 + Audix i5 (Video)

That sounds pretty dang good. Those Heil mics have continued to surprise me. The wonder of living in the current era is that everyone is trying to make mics that rival the 57, making for some pretty killer mics that are really great sounding right out of the box. The playing wasn't too bad...

Mic'd Tone Tinnier Than Cabinet Sound

I know this will fly in the face of every internet-reading, home studio owning person out there, but if I have to use a 57, I like to mic Mesa's about 3-5" back from the grill, and right on the edge of the speaker. Give it a try.

    REVERB Plug-ins...HOW DO CHOOSE ¯\(°_o)/¯?

Check out the Waves Rennaisance Verb. I swear that I have used it on at least 1 thing in Every single mix I have ever done since I bought it. Pretty much any of the Waves verbs are awesome. It's in their $49 Sale thing here as "Ren Reverb": http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=351#plugins

    Bought another F50

I did the same thing. I used to have an F50, used it for a couple years, and then ended up selling it to buy some recording gear. Biggest mistake I ever made! The F50 is an amazing piece of gear.

    What's your recording setup?

I usually work in a Studio with lots of Gear, but at home I have this: Interface: Apogee Duet 2(just got it. Sounds great) Monitors: Focal CMS40's Focal CMS Sub KRK V8's (Old ones, not the VXT's) Cue 5 Cheapos Outboard Gear: not much at home, but I have a Summit TLA-50 and a Vintech X73i...
