MKIV (a) on Aussie eBay - yes, it's mine....

The starting bid is my lowest price (call me mad). PM me with a serious offer - the no offline deals bit is to discourage the tools who try to rip us off on eBay... The quad box is great; blows the roof off the house. If you want it too, talk to me. Chris.

    Am I nuts?

Being the caring sort of chap I am and never wanting to hear of anyone being unhappy, I will sacrifice myself and take this amp off your hands to ensure you find peace. I'll suffer with being forced to own a MKIIC+ for your well being. :P

Running 6L6/EL34 combo in Mark IV!

I stuck a pair of Winged C EL34's in with a pair of GT6L6GE's and it's pretty good! Still waiting on GT to get back to making the 6CA7 as well though...... I just find that the MKIV wanted to blow the roof off my house through my (closed back) quad box. With the EL34's it will still blow the...

    Guitars and heat exposure

Hmmmm; fundamentally, they are wood and trees seem to cope (unless they are on fire that is!). I think the greater damger is sudden temperature changes (very hot to very cold etc) and humidity. Mine have got hot before and seemed to cope OK. Hope you get through the fires OK; we're just coming...

    Which tubes in Mark IV???

I'm just trying 2 X GT6L6GE's and 2 X Winged C EL34's - nice, but needs to be in Simul to get the bottom end back. I found 4 X GT6L6GE's a bit nyeh for the sound I had in my head. I fiddle so much with this amp and I'm still only chipping away at what it can do....

Falling out of love with my Mark IV

I found mine was a bit thin too, but then I shoved it through a 4 x 12 (EV-12M's). Lucky it lives in the basement; it would have blown the roof off the house.... It seems to be all about the cab. I can channel Knopfler on R2 now as well.... My Chiropractor loves me now; have you guys ever...

Cost of Mark IV footswitch / Wiring diagram required

No - didn't get that one, scored a better one.... There will be another option; maybe one of the other forum members can hook you up? Maybe put a listing in the Classified's section as a WTB? One might pop up...

Cost of Mark IV footswitch / Wiring diagram required

Hmmm, I paid $2350 for a mint MKIVa short combo with EV speaker - one careful owner, always in the flightcase, never dropped or raced.... We don't see many good, old Mesa's in Oz, so it might not be too much after all. How old is it and if you're getting it from other than Weebay, you could...

    I just scored a 1992 Fender SRV.

I lobbed my EMG's in favour of the Texas Specials and SRV harness/pots etc. BEst decision I made - and I loved the EMG's too..... Nice score.
