You don't have to worry about bias on pre amp tubes on any amp, mesa or not. The 12ax7 is the highest gain pre amp tube then there are variations that are 70percent gain and so forth. Just my opinion but I have those classy tubes here and have tried them and I would rather buy 3 or 4 different...
