So it appears its the jack for the fx return. This sucks man, closest repair place that will touch mesa is over an hour away and they always take at least a month with any gear I take to them. I would ship it to mesa but that would be over $50 to ship the amp when its a $30 repair. ARGGGHH...

Well looks like my amp is suffering from two ailments. I fixed the footswitch issue which stopped the machine gunning. But my amp still cuts out all volume when the fx loop is engaged. I know its not the footswitch as it does it with it removed.

I use a Maxon OD808. But only with certain guitars. Some pickups actually really work well with the amp with no boost or fuzz.

yeah its really crazy. I notice that my mark V actually will produce more gain with the eq set a certain way and when I dial it in stupidly is when I have to crank the gain to compensate. This amp is as good of a teaching tool as it is an amp.

I guess the issue is that there isnt enough E34L's that fall into the proper range for them to have the kits listed all the time for sale. They can get them but you have to ask. Got some coming and I cant wait.
