New Owner of a JP-2C, my thoughts

I’ve been playing and recording with Mesa since 2006 when I joined this board, I’ve since owned: Single rectoverb - sold Triple rec - sold Roadking II - still own and I will never get rid of. Electra dyne - sold, I recorded one track on my debut with it. Mark V:25- sold - I used it to record...

Mark V clipping problem with new guitar question.

I appreciate the response...I figured it out..I swapped batteries in it...problem solved! They must of shipped it with a weak battery. I looked at FAQ on EMG's site and it described the issue I was having if the battery is low.

Mark V clipping problem with new guitar question.

An update to above: I plugged directly in to my mic preamp and the guitar clips, it doesn't buzz from frets, but clips like the pickups are too hot..strange.

Mark V clipping problem with new guitar question.

Hello guys, I just got a LTD Vulture and on the clean channel of my Mark V:25 It clips it, not distortion but clipping, it is especially noticeable when I strum, I do not notice this on the high gain channels..I also have a snakebyte with the same pickups and it does not do this..what could be...

    Mesa Boogie Roadking Reverb tank

Sorry to be rude but as over a ten year customer and as many amps as I've owned and got my buddies to own I expect no less than the best. Mesa makes an amazing product!

    Mesa Boogie Roadking Reverb tank

"The tank you mention for $35 is slightly different, as we make an internal connection in the tank here at the factory. More BS! The above tanks I listed work fine and one is more than half the cost!!!

    Mesa Boogie Roadking Reverb tank

I was definitely quoted the price mentioned or I would not have attempted to use a reverb tank in which i was told by you guys it wouldn't work and it did work...perfectly!! Ppl can save money by not going through you on these tanks period!!! Here is a link: http://amprepairparts.com/reverb.htm...

    Mesa Boogie Roadking Reverb tank

This is interesting an I learned something new... For a long time now my Roadking II reverb has not been working...I called boogie and they wanted to charge me $75.00-$100.00 for a tank.. Because the Roadking was out of warranty.. So I put it off.. What is interesting is that I had a 50 watt...

Mark V25 head or Roadking V1 head

I have both a Roadking 2 and a Mark V:25...take this as just my opinion as everyone has their own...since I have gotten my Mark, my Roadking collects dust. I haven't needed the headroom as 25 watts is loud.. I like the Mark's sound better. But I will say a Rec is much easier to play through, the...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

I guess Mesa listened to their customers when we asked them to raise prices on the amps as well...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Agreed again! Mark V 25 just became old news and its resale will definitely drop. This was a poor move That will hurt the existing V 25 customer. With this news and looking at Mesas new pricing seems to me they are starting to only care about the quick way to make $$$. Its an easy fix though...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

Agreed!! This would of been a nice option when I purchased the 25, now I can shell out more $$ for 10 watts and a solo feature or try and sale my outdated 25 on eBay that no one will prob want because of the 35. How about a trade in program for us folk who bought a 25 at launch? Since we did you...

Overdrive Pedals for Mark V 25

Something i noticed is that my Mark V:25 doesnt seem to like OD pedals and doesnt seem to like my wahs that much, although the wahs sound better than the OD. Its kinda weirding me because with my Roadking and other amps i always use a OD. It could be a headroom issue or something.

Sick of the trebly ice-pickyness on my Mark V. Suggestions?

If you have adjusted your presence and treble settings and are still getting the ice pick sound, lower the pickups on the guitar, a common mistake is that players adjust their pickups as close to the strings as possible, this is not correct as everyone plays different. Swapping tubes won't fix...

Help!! I AM HAVING AN ISSUE WITH TOO MUCH ICE PICK TREBLE

If you have adjusted your presence and treble settings and you are still running into the ice pick sound, you need to adjust the height of your pickups as it sounds they are too close to the strings. The first thing your going think after reading what I just wrote is "on my other amps it doesn't...

    wah wahs

Never tried the CAE wah. You can dial in the rack wah to pretty much soundi like any of the dunlop standalone wahs. One of the biggest advantages I noticed about the rack wah over the pedals is the quality of the sound, pedal wahs can be noisy and even scratchy sometimes due to the pots they...

Roadking II and Mark V 25 a users insight

Hello, I've owned my Roadking II since 2007, I know this amp like the back of my hand as I have loved it ever since I got it. Over the years I wanted something different another flavor to go with it, this lead me to several different amps that did not compare to the Roadking's sound so I sold...

    wah wahs

I've owned, recorded and gig with: original Dunlop crybaby - sweet sound not much sweep. Zak Wilde Dunlop - deeper sweet sound, large deep sweep. IBanez screaming demon - digital sounding and weird. Morley vai - higher freq sound with a high freq sweep, not much lows. Then to my favorite I have...
