    Express 5:25 1x10 First Impressions?

When I heard my LP through my 5:25 1x10, I was hooked! Strats and their ilk need much more twiddling and tweaking, but I can't get a bad sound out of it with my LP or V. I'll always own this amp!

What pedal to emulate Crunch while in Blues mode?

I agree with Krek that the Express has all the OD/Distortion anyone could reasonably want right in the box. I don't get the mania to get a Marshall tone from a Mesa, or any other amp. Isn't that what Marshalls are for?

    5:25's do it better

My 5:25 1x10 has become my main amp. My ancient heavily souped '53 Gibson 6L6 1x12 sounds awesome, but ya can't get at the sweet spot without hurting people. Express 5:25 10" - poor bass response... help!

I do use a compressor: an EH Soul Preacher from their Nano series. It puts a really nice edge to my tone.

Express 5:25 10" - poor bass response... help!

I have no bass issues with mine, but it definitely likes humbuckers better than singles.

    Hi! First post:

Sounds amazing, breaks up like a Plexi, but ya can't stay in the room with it by then. I'm sure it kicks out 50 watts or so.

    Hi! First post:

Not great pics - it's a GA-75, I think. Originally housed in a Gibson cab with a 15, it now has the 12 that came with the Fender amp, is heavily bastardized; SS recto, 6L6's, extra caps, 2 prong plug with a polarity switch instead of a ground....the madman who built it did several secret...

    Hi! First post:

Hey everyone! I'm Reif, a guitar freak in my 50's. I've had a 5:25 1x10 for just over a year. I got it as a backup to my modded '53 Gibson amp, but its modern features, portability, and KILLER TONE have moved into main amp status. I gig heavily with it, and have yet to find a venue it can't...
