    Recto Pre Noise Issues

With the gain up past 12:00 you will get hiss and gain noise, when I had nothing plugged into the front and had the gain up the unit was microphonic because of the high gain, this is pretty normal although you may have a bad tube. There is no way I could run any high gain amp or preamp without...

Don't rule out the Axess stuff...wicked.

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

Your best to ask Bob Bradshaw at CAE or Mario at Axess Electronics. Axess has products like this as well with a quicker turn around time. Yes the amp selector will do amps and preamps. If you are not using heads and you just want to switch preamps then there are cheaper alternatives like the...

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

The 2:100 sounds better, trust me. Remember you must have a load on the Triple Rec(speaker or load box) at all times. You can easily switch between 2 preamps. You can switch between amps and preamps with a device like the "Amp Selector" by CAE..this keeps a load on the amps even if you just...

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

I think we hear alot about the 2:90 because it's a good amp and it's been in the market place for quite a while, lots of guys have them, the Recto 2:100 has only been around for the last 2 years or so, not as well known as the 2:90. The 2:100 is a great amp, just call Mesa and ask them the...

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

Pros: ..you can run stereo ..you can setup a switching system with a line mixer(this is a huge difference in sound quality when using FX like chorus, flange, reverb, etc. When using a line mixer you have complete control of your dry signal giving you higher fidelity. A singer would never plug...

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

I'm sure you'll love the Recto Pre, it sounds very heavy...I prefer the tone of a Recto Pre and 2:100 to a Dual or Triple Rec head. I run my stuff with a Bradshaw switcher and line mixer, I know that makes a big difference too, everything in parallel makes things so clean and crisp. Let us...

    2:50 (pt2)

The thing about tube amps is usually when anything goes funky it is tube related, even if you just replaced them. It's a fact of life that tubes are unreliable and fail often....but sound and feel like God. Mark

2:90 / Triaxis Vs. My Triple Rect.

I was using a Recto Pre for about 2 years live...it rocks. Very heavy sounding!! With a switcher you could easily run the Triaxis and Recto Pre together(Axess Electronics GRX4 or similar). Do yourself a favour and try a 2:100 Recto Poweramp, it sounds killer. I've A/B'ed the 2:90 and 2:100...

    WHY ???

Wow your tax system is worse than Canada..lol. I know there are guys in S America using this stuff perhaps you can find it used on Ebay in your area. Bradshaw makes similar products as well. I doubt you'll ever see Mesa do it. Mark

    WHY ???

Dude I apreciated your help but do you think that there are people only in north america ??!! In my country a cfx4 don't even exist. Boogie only if we will travel and buy it . That's why I'm asking why mesa just don't put midi in their heads. Dude, Mario ships worldwide...Europe, Asia...

    WHY ???

Get a CFX4 from Axess Electronics and appropriate cable made for your head(Mario at Axess sells these too) hook the CFX4 to any midi foot controller and bingo you're in business. The CFX4 is small and can easily fit into most chasis with velcro or 3M dual lock. You can also get a GRX4 which is...

Tell me about the Recto Pre.... Work well with other amps?

I used it live for the first time tonight...outstanding!!!! Tight as hell, very heavy sounding but with singing leads. Makes my guitar more responsive and easier to play. It's amazing..can't wait to play again tomorrow night. Mark Day www.thesamhillband.com

Tell me about the Recto Pre.... Work well with other amps?

    1) Not sure what you mean bypassed on the fly? There is no mute function, if you put in a switcher like a Bradshaw or GCX, etc then yes. 2) 2 channels with 3 modes on each channel(like a 2 ch Dual Rectifier head.) 3) Never tried it in a clean amp but it sounds great with a Mesa 2:100 poweramp...
