Normal when controlling a Roadster with a Boss ES-8?

It depends on the switching matrix of the amp. I control a Royal Atlantic with a Boss MS-3, which has three channels. With the regular foot switch, the wiring scheme is such that switch one controls changing from clean to either of the gain channels, and switch two controls which gain channel...

Blown Fuse: Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Multi-Watt (Should I be worried?)

Still sounds like possible tube issues. Easiest way to trouble shoot is to start swapping with known good tubes. If you cycle through all of them without eliminating the issue it's time to go to a tech

Blown Fuse: Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Multi-Watt (Should I be worried?)

When I've had fuses blow, it's usually been due to power tube issues. Either Bias was off, or there was a defect in the tube. I'd replace your fuse and see if the old power tubes cause it to blow again. If it does, you may have a bad tube in your new set.

Maverick Tone Stack ?? Lead channel Help!

From what the manual says, this seems to be by design https://www.manualslib.com/manual/558388/Mesa-Boogie-Dual-Rectifier-Maverick-Amp.html?page=7#manual

    TA15 no output

Typically if the fuse blows on your Mesa it won't power on. Since the TA15 doesn't have an FX loop you can't test to see if the preamp or power amp sections are working independently. I'd start by swapping each preamp tube one at a time with a tube known to be good. If that doesn't work...

Two Channel Dual Rec Footswitch Help

Of the footswitches you posted, the PRS would probably work if you got an adapter to split the amp end into two jacks. The third might as well. The first is probably like the switching in the Electradyne/Royal Atlantic which has a different wiring scheme and wouldn't work.

Two Channel Dual Rec Footswitch Help

The jacks on the front and the back for channel switching are the same, and the FX loop switch jack is only available on the back. The DRs from that Era came with a single foot switch to change channels, and the other jacks on the rear were for optional switching either via foot switches or...

How to change speaker on Fillmore 25

Looking at the pictures on Mesa's site it appears to be a rear mounted speaker. Remove the wires from the speaker, remove your tubes, remove the back panel, unscrew the nuts holding the speaker in, remove the speaker, then put your new speaker in and do the rest in reverse. Most of the mesa...

Maverick 1x12 combo - Life changer

Most (if not all) of the amps in the original Dual Rectifier series (Dual, Triple, Maverick, Blue Angel, Tremoverb) were all able to be switched between a Tube or Solid State rectifier, hence the name.

Rectoverb 50 has power but no sound, is it the big capacitors?

AND all of the above assumes that you've tested the cables to make sure they don't have a short.

Rectoverb 50 has power but no sound, is it the big capacitors?

Could be number of things. You need to trouble shoot to try and isolate where the problem is. 1. Run a cable between the FX loop on and in to see if it's an issue with the switching jacks. If you get output after step 1, the issue is your FX loop jacks. 2. Run the FX loop out to another...

What Mesa has the best cleans?

You didn't mention the Blue Angel, but that's probably their best clean ever. Single Channel Non-Master Volume with El84 or 6V6 or both output section. It will get mean if you want but the cleans are to die for.

    Heartbreaker 2x12

I'd tend to agree with the above. Heartbreaker has GREAT cleans, and some really good mid to high gain tones, but the low end tends to be a little woofy. Some kind of overdrive or EQ pedal out front could probably sculpt the tone to more standard "metal" tone, but the cabinet choice is...

Nomad 100 and Axess CFX4 help please!

I'm not sure this will work. I used to have a Nomad 100 and it has a custom switching matrix built in to the foot switch. I don't think it's simply opening and closing switches, I think there are some voltage sensitive switches that come into play. I found a custom break out box on eBay...

    RA-100 Combo Reverb Kill Jack

The switch will def work to turn the reverb on and off, but I'm not sure if it's passing any current to light an LED in the switch. The Blue Angel, Maverick, and Electradyne all have similar reverb switch but those won't light up. If the foot switch has a DPDT or 3PDT sitch in side, you could...

    RA-100 Combo Reverb Kill Jack

It's hidden inside the chassis of the amp. There's an unmarked 1/4" jack that is the reverb kill switch. A switch like you're describing should work perfectly.

Mind giving a ballpark amount on how much it cost? I assume that now the they have the specs they can reproduce these?
